The attacks on Sarah Palin coming from the Left — namely the attacks on her motherhood, parenting, and her children — are especially despicable.

But not unexpected.

And now they want to make hay out of the fact that Gov. Palin’s 17-year old daughter, Bristol is pregnant. And that she is keeping the baby and marrying the father (which is probably what really pisses them off).

I’ve gone after Barack and Michelle Obama for any number of things. Not once has one of those things been their children, or the manner in which Michelle and Barack are raising their children.

Why?

Because it’s their personal and private life, and the lives of their children are irrelevant to anything having to do with politics.

All that further needs to be said about the disgusting hateful attacks coming from the Left comes from Barack Obama himself:

Mr. Obama, campaigning here, also noted that his own mother was 18 when she gave birth to him.

“People’s families are off limits,” he said. “People’s children are especially off limits. This shouldn’t be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin’s performance as a governor or her potential performance as a vice president. ”

“I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories,” he added. “That shouldn’t be a topic in our politics.”

Good for you, Sen. Obama. Though I doubt your words will be heeded.

In fact, looking at the conversations raging on Memeorandum, the attacks are still carrying on as though Barack hadn’t said a word.

How shamefully sad.

But how totally expected.

Michell Malkin says, “Bristol Palin chooses life. Now leave her alone.”

The Palin family values the sanctity of life. They talk the talk and walk the walk. It is driving the Left absolutely insane beyond the farthest reaches of unhingedness.

It’s only going to get a lot worse. The KKKoskids and DUmmies openly discuss their total disregard for the truth.

Stay classy, lefty MSM:

CNN reporters accusing Palin of sleeping with McCain.

I’ll never forget election 2000 when Brokaw and Jennings did nothing to hide their displeasure when after prematurely announcing that Gore had won, they were forced to retract it. I thought they were both going to cry.

Here’s ar question that’s gnawing at me- If the Palins were so concerned about Bristol’s privacy, why did they choose to throw their kid under the bus when it became politically expedient to do so? If they were genuinely concerned about making sure her pregnancy did not become an issue, they could have simply kept her out of the public eye for the next two months. That’s what they wanted to do anyway. Instead they decide to quell those “nasty rumors” by dropping the dime on their daughter. They could have simply released Trig’s birth records instead, and everyone would have gotten red in the face and slinked away. Something is definitely rotten in the Great White North Territory. This needs to be addressed. The Palin family and the McCain campaign have made it all fair game right from the beginning.

So we should see the official birth records of a child who isn’t running for office, but B-HO isn’t required to show his birth certificate?
Not a deep thinker, are you MD?
This is a private matter, and they are handling it the way they think is best.

Here’s ar question that’s gnawing at me-

Evidently, it’s completely gnawed out your brain.

No2L: Oh, what a sorry state of affairs it is when the democrats feel they have the right to attack four month old baby boys.

Indeed, anon.
It’s desperation, rearing it’s head again.
Based on the reactions I’ve seen, that really matter, this issue is not having a negative effect, as it shouldn’t, but more reactions of sympathy for a family crisis, understanding, and support.
Dr. Bill Bennett sure had Wolf Blitzer twisting in knots over CNN’s biased reporting.

I’m not sure how far the ‘lefties’ you talk about are going with this but my only point on this is that it’s a little hypocritical in my opinion.

Here we have Palin, who looks like she’s up for canonisation if you’re comments on her are to believed, and yet she has a daughter who is pregnant at 17 at our of wedlock.
OK, she’s going to marry the father, but that is an action she is taking AFTER the event. I’m sure there really isn’t any option for her apart from marrying the father. I mean, if she became a single parent, the Republicans would lose the election tomorrow.

From a family with so many virtues, I personally think this is being covered over. Bristol went out and got pregnant at 17 with no thought about marrying the father - thousands of british girls do the same every year and then spend the rest of their lives on benefits.
The only difference here is that her mum is running for VP so of course they will do all they can to make this into a pro rather than the con that it should have been.

Jonny

I also have to raise the uncomfortable issue of what pressure was put on the father to go along with this?

I mean, here in the UK and I am sure the same can be said for the US, thousands of young girls each year become single parents. The irresponsible fathers disappear down the pub with all the other benefit seekers - marriage is the farthest thing on their minds.

Here we have the same situation, the only difference is that Bristol is the daughter of the potential VP. Things are bound to be different.

I’m not saying I know for sure, but I doubt very much whether this decision has been reached by Bristol and the father alone.

Jonny

“America First” or “Family First” Which will it be?

Governor Palin may be able to take her baby to work with her and nurse during a meeting as Governor of Alaska - a state with a population of 626,000 people. It is a different story being the VP of the United States. No CEO in any corporation would do such a thing. I think a woman with children is certainly capable of being the VP or president of the US, but I do question the judgment and “family first” priority of a new mother with a newborn having special needs.

When it comes down to it, where will her allegiance be? With the MILLIONS of people relying upon her to lead the country, or with her children, whether they be pregnant, sick or whatever the issue? Will she be in the Middle East brokering a peace deal and suddenly have to fly home to attend to the health care needs of her infant son? She would be a cruel, heartless mother if she did no less, but she will be an ineffective, laughable joke of a world leader if she places her family priorities ahead of her country.

Good points Jack.

I’m not one for old fashioned gender specific roles in the family unit, but to actually say “Family first” thinking the right will shout “Ye’ha!” and get behind her maybe a nail in the coffin.

Jonny

No, idiotic points, jack. You’ve been spamming this shit all over the internet. You have absolutely no idea what this child’s special needs are or the needs of any child with Downs Syndrome.

And can your fake concern. You express no similar concern about Obama being distracted by the welfare and health needs of his children. I take this as your tacit acknowledgment that Obama is a cold and abandoning father, just like both his mother and father were to him. Not that his wife is much better, in that she chose an aggressive career path and only recently cut back on her hours. I guess she needed to give a false impression that she cared about her kids once the campaign got off.

Nor did you express any concern about the fact that after Joe Biden’s kids were orphaned at age 3 and 2 years and seriously injured by the car crash that killed their mother and baby sister, Sleazy Joe chose to not stay at home and care for their physical and emotional needs, but instead pursed his own political ambitions. Now that was cruel.

When it comes down to it, where will her allegiance be?

That’s the question people have been asking about Obama and his wife for quite awhile now. And it is a real worry for his campaign handlers.

You also appear to be woefully ignorant about world affairs and how our government operates if you believe that treaties can’t be brokered without a vice president or a president. Thanks for the laugh!

And are you seriously proposing that if one of her kids had a cold she would be so distracted she couldn’t do her job? My God, you are sexist. Or, are you implying that if one of her children had a life threatening illness she would drop what she was doing to be by his side but Obama would not??? Wow. What a lack of character on Obama’s part.

Anyway, I question your judgment for thinking you can post this crap and anyone but the English Wanker would fall for it. Thanks for the laughs!

p.s.: I will take yours and the other moonbats spamming conservative blogs as a sign of fear. Be afraid, jack. Be very afraid.

Don’t worry folks. This is only a first volley to soften up the defenses a bit. Palin’s opponents know that all of this “family values” stuff is lightweight crap. Believe me, we know- we’ve been putting up with this sort of inane moralizing from the “Moral Majority” for decades. Why do you think Obama is keeping his hands clean of this? Eventually the Conservatives will get so frustrated that they will be begging to talk about something else, and that will be their crucial mistake. The reality is that there is nothing beyond “family values” for Sarah Palin. The GOP never wanted to get into substance… but their hand is about to be forced.

My little petite doorstop: Are you mentally ill, on drugs, or both?

Why do you think Obama is keeping his hands clean of this?
Because he has his staff and you nutroots to do his dirty work for him.

Eventually the Conservatives will get so frustrated that they will be begging to talk about something else, and that will be their crucial mistake.

Hahaha! No doubt your spanking your monkey while typing this!

The GOP never wanted to get into substance… but their hand is about to be forced.

Yikes! The nutroots are going to force us to chant: HopeChangeHopeyChangeChangeyHopeChangeHopeyChangeChangeyHope ChangeyHopeyChangeOmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

That’s your idea of substance.

MD, the first salvo is not supposed to hit you in the foot.

Substance?
Yeah, let’s talk about substance, like Biden getting thrown under the bus, in desperation, like the attacks on Super Sarah.
LA Times.

The report seems to provide fuel to Obama supporters enraged [the] Illinois senator picked a running mate with such deep ties to the D.C. cash-politics-lobbying world.

It’s getting so crowded under that bus, he runs the risk of jamming the wheel wells, and making it stop dead in it’s tracks.
Some think it already has.

Sounds to me like the only defense these guys have for their beloved Palin is to go on the offensive in attacking Obama.

Interesting that none of the valid points raised about Palin are ever discussed.
All we get is the “Yeah, your just spankin your monkey” or “Obama throws people under buses!”.
Excuse me for asking, but what the hell has that to do with Palin?

Kinda like defending hitler by shouting about how many poles Stalin killed.

Jonny

Jonny,

Have a little bit of sympathy for them. They’ve been put into a position of having to defend the indefensible. If they sometimes resort to juvenile and unsubstantial responses, it’s only understandable.

And you my little Trolldork, have been put in the position of having to seek out the Lil’ Wanker for support. But, when your only argument is to attack a 4 month old baby and a 17 year old girl, I wouldn’t expect any less from you.

“And you my little Trolldork”

“My little petite doorstop”

You’re starting to creep me out now with your pet names. Are you trying to hit on me? Or are you just thinking about “the children”?

Good! If I tried to hit on you, Lil’ Wanker would scratch my eyes out. No, I’m just mocking you because you are soooo mockworthy. And I’m doing it for “the children” — all children — even Michele’s . :D :D :D :D

I think you’re “doing it” WITH the children.

I have no doubt that if any children were present, they would join me in mocking you. Kids don’t like nutroots like you who attack and use children and who want to kill them before they are born.

Kids don’t like nutroots like you who attack and use children and who want to kill them before they are born

You’re actually a vile person Anon aren’t you?
It was pretty funny at first to hear your ‘Rubber Jonny’ and ‘Lil Wanker’ comments - nothing to lose sleep about. But to accuse someone of wanting to kill children before they are born? That’s a bridge to far.

Best to keep a distance I think.

Jonny

I’m a 40-something mother of four from a battle-ground state (PA) . I feel like I’ve been punched in the gut. I am moving from neutral to angry. I am switiching my vote from Obama to McCain/Palin.

Deena: I am a 40-something mother of 3 from a battleground state. I am appalled that McCain would chose someone so unqualified just to appease the religious right. I agree with Obama that personal lives and children are off limits. I was on the fence, but will definitely be supporting Obama now. I guess we will cancel eachother out.

[Editor --- And you're not equally appalled that the Donks chose someone so unqualified to be on top of their ticket? You're either intellectually dishonest or just not very smart.]

Henh, and the left continues to ignore some serious questions about B-HO. Add this one to a long list of unanswered…er…unasked questions about B-HO.

Got something you want to say?
