I quit using Internet Explorer so long ago, that sometimes I forget it exists. Which means I always forget to check how my site renders in IE after I make a change or implement a new feature.

Which I should do (check my site on IE) more often, as my Site Meter stats illustrate that 65% of you are still using IE (really? 65%? Wow. Just wow…):

My browser share

Anyhow, over the last month or so, I’ve become a Twittering fool. Blogging just seems to “old school” now compared to the spontaneity and immediacy of Twitter.

I inserted a Twitter plugin on my blog sidebar, just beneath the “Advertise here” banner. The plugin displays my most recent 3 Tweets, and provides a link to my full Twitter feed.

When I went and looked at my site on IE this morning (thus the impetus for this arcane post that nobody will care about but me) — I just realized that 65% of you are not getting my Twitter feed. Which I’ll have to keep in mind, as I’ve been using my auto-Twitter feed in lieu of updating or posting to the blog itself.

I’m not sure I’ll invest the time to try to resolve the IE issue with rendering my Twitter feed. It would just be so much easier if the rest of you could just switch to Firefox, Safari, or even Chrome.

Trust me, you’ll thank me later.

I’ve never gotten IE to work on my 1 1/2 year old computer. I’ve kept up with all the MS fixes and downloads but it never fully opens. I just tried Chrome yesterday and the jury is still out. I hate to use another google product.

Here’s a word of advice to make your computer browser work better;

Open the window next to the PC, make sure you have plenty of room either side of the monitor and with a gentle forward movement, push the whole lot out of the said window until you hear a ‘crash’.

Now go down to you’re local Apple store and get a real computer.
Safari and Firefox already installed.

I have absolutely zero clue what all this means… it all sounds like Charlie Brown’s teacher giving instruction.

I have an Apple laptop, a Microsoft desktop, and wifi on my Blackberry.

All in all, I can’t tell a difference. Jonny’s a jackass on all three.

Hey No2 - are u married?

Ok, this will probably happen only once, but…here it comes…I agree with Jonny on this one!!! I have a 3 year old 12″ iBook G4 running Safari. It does everything I ask it to do. Now that I’m almost gainfully employed, I will buy it a brother soon.

Dianne…henh. Happily divorced.

Agreeing with me? It hurts the first time, but after then it’s pretty painless.
Trust me. ;-)

Hey N2l, sorry to hear about the divorce, and yes I know you are trying your hardest to not talk to me :-)
I guess we all want to enter into a marriage thinking that it’s the one and only time? Things don’t work out, whether it’s your or her/his fault.

Sorry to hear anyway.

Jonny

Got something you want to say?
