Does Sen. Joe Biden Even Like Barack Obama?

A reader at Hot Air has this to say about Sen. Joe Biden:

Call me nuts, but I don’t think, “deep down” Biden really likes Obama that much or feels he is truly qualified. I think he likes McCain more, certainly on a personal level at least. You can sort of pick up on it when he makes off the cuff remarks. I don’t think Obama has a strong connection with anyone outside of his family, he is a strange person. Even with a moron like Biden there are times where you can see into his soul a little bit, not so with Obama.

I haven’t been able to put my finger on it … but I think this comment nails it. The more I watch and listen to Joe Biden, the more I believe that he’d rather be on the ticket with almost anybody else other than Barack Obama.

1) Twice this week already, Biden has criticized Barack Obama publicly —

a) once when he derided Obama for wanting to take away his Barretta (a semi-automatica .9 mm handgun, the type of handgun that Obama wants to ban) and his shotguns (likely also to be semi-automatics and on Obama’s ban list).

b) in this video where Biden criticizes Obama’s recent ad that mocked Sen. McCain as an out-of-touch, out-of-date computer illiterate was “terrible” and would not have been done had he known about it.

2) Biden knows that he’s more qualified to be President than Obama. And I think he’s still a little miffed that this man of non-substance beat him so soundly in the primary. Biden’s still a bit sour, and it shows.
