The kiddies at Burnt Orange Report — Texas’ leading Democrat Progressive Liberal (or whatever it is they’re calling themselves these days) political blog — are feigning shock and outrage that the Young Conservatives of Texas (YTC) are endorsing all Republicans in this year’s elections.
A quick read through the BOR archives and recent postings, and…wait for it…(even though you already know it’s coming, don’t you?)…it appears that the kids running the blog from their dorms and apartments on UT’s campus are endorsing all Democrats.
Oh. The. Horror.
In other news, 99% of all UT students supported the Longhorns in last week’s Red River Shootout.
Of course the BOR kiddies try to pimp their bipartisan street cred by claiming they have previously endorsed Republican candidates. But even the two links that they provided don’t substantiate a claim of having endorsed Republicans. They merely propped up two moderate Republicans amongst their list of “Texans of the Year” several years ago. I wouldn’t be surprised if they endorsed those two Republican’s opponents in the previous elections, though.
But hey, when you’ve grown so accustomed to losing every single state-wide elected office — with no end in sight — you probably start losing your grip on sanity a little bit more every day. Until you graduate and eventually become gainfully employed (and thus the gradual turn towards conservativism), or you keep slipping further and further away from reality until you end up as a college professor or a member of the media.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they endorsed those two Republican’s opponents in the previous elections, though.
Carolyn Boyle never held public office, AFAIK. And I’m not really sure where they got the idea she was Republican, either (moderate or not). Her PAC supported both Republicans and Democrats, but that proves nothing.
The BOR never had the chance to support Casteel’s opponent, as she lost the 2006 primary.
