I’ve been coming down hard on MSM journalists lately — I’ve noted on several occasions that the art of journalism as we once knew it is now dead. Or at least taking its very last few gulps of breath.
A journalism career has sunk to just below that of the guy who cleans out the viewing booths at the local adult video store.
I know some journalists personally. And I don’t think even they can stand to look at themselves in the mirror every morning.
And I’m not the only one who feels this way. Rachel Lucas is pissed at the MSM’s treatment of Joe the Plumber:
First, Ace of Spades asks a very pertinent question: why not “vet” all the “journalists” just like they’ve “vetted” Joe the plumber? No seriously. Why not? Why not put all their tax, voting, divorce, and personal information all over the internet?
I suppose the answer is that “journalists” don’t actually ASK IMPORTANT QUESTIONS like Joe the plumber did. They don’t get Obama to say what he really thinks like Joe the plumber did.
Assholes. I mean it. Anyone who has published anything shitty about this individual is an ASSHOLE. Joe Wurzelbacher has nothing to do with anything and yet you’re crucifying the guy instead of asking important, meaningful questions about the Democrat candidate for president. Worthless punks. You know it’s true. WORTHLESS.

And yet, we still haven’t seen B-HO’s actual birth certificate, his college transcripts, medical records, selective service registration, or a litany of other important documents.
I’ve heard it mentioned several times, and I agree, that the LSM has gone all in for B-HO, in the hopes that a Marxist government, led by B-HO and comrades Reid and Pelosi will take action in the form of internet restrictions, and the unfairness doctrine, and thus giving the dinosaur media the lofty perch it once had in shaping public opinion.
There has to be something in it for the LSM. Politics is self-interest, after all.

Joe Plumber is on TV right now, smart, normal guy. I would have hated to go through what he did.
Now we learn that Obama violated state ethics laws by taking money for speeches. In fact, he made $16,500 in 2000 and $31,500 in 2002. Not exactly chump change.
How come this was never reported by the media?
How come it was never reported that he shared an office with two terrorists?
How come it was never reported that he allowed two terrorists he claimed to hardly know baby sit his kids?
How come it was never reported that ACORN has a half million dollar tax lien?
These are just a few of the things never reported by the msm. The list goes on forever. Yet, the msm sends about 35 reporters to Alaska to go through Gov. Palin’s garbage. Now, they are trolling the McCain’s teenage daughter’s school for dirt. Journalists are worse than scum.

Even an Obama presidency and a Democrat-controlled Congress will not save the media on a national level. The damage already done is too extensive. While we conservative have know for a long time that the MSM has “jumped the shark”; some Democrats are beginning to notice it too. I know a few Hillary supporters who have adopted the motto: PUMA! They did not like the way the media turned against Hillary and anointed Obama without so much as small inspection of his background. They also do not like the way the media treated Sarah Palin.
If the Democrats re-instate the “Fairness Doctrine” it will not only be the end of conservative-talk radio, but the end of any kind of talk (sports, news) on the AM frequencies. AM radio will all Spanish!
Remind me again what part of your home, family, or nation was threatened by the Republic of Iraq?

Actually, when I leave my hi-rise office with a full view of beautiful downtown Austin outside my 8′ x 16′ window after a day of a managing my department’s $6M annual budget and 32 employees, I turn off the laptop and proceed to have what those of us in the reality-based community call a life on evenings and weekends. Y’know, actual lifestyle related stuff like riding bikes, diving at Barton Springs, walking my dogs, cleaning the brand new condo, playing drums for one of my three bands, and helping my daughter get through college.
