They are struggling, trying to stay alive, and have found a candidate that will push for the Fairness Doctrine to be revived and think that their positions will once again be secure. They are wrong.

retire05…nice post! I totally agree! Even an Obama presidency will not save the MSM on the national level. The damage done to a large section of the public by their bias and their “look-the-other-way” attitude is too extensive. Once people are gone, they won’t be coming back.

The “Fairness Doctrine” if revived will prove to be a disaster for AM radio. Once highly-rated conservative talk shows disappear, so will the advertisers. Liberal-talk radio couldn’t even stay on the air by paying stations to carry their programming, so that is not a viable option. And garden and automotive shows are not going to fill that airtime left void by disappearance of conservative talk shows. The AM frequencies will soon go to the only market left open to them: Spanish-speaking listeners.
