I’m at the Four Seasons in downtown Austin at the victory party for Sen. John Corny, Rep. Mike McCaul (who happens to be my congressman in House District 10), Railroad Commissioner Michael Williams, Chief Justice Wallace Jefferson, Justices Dale Wainwright and Phil Johnson.

Even if we’re not able to celebrate a John McCain win, we’ll be celebrating our state-wide victories tonight.

________

I was invited to be a credentialed media blogger by Cornyn campaigner Vincent Harris (who I finally got to meet face-to-face just a few moments ago—why do these guys always end up being so much younger than I imagined them to be?).

I’m down in the media room right now — which had plenty of tables, good WiFi and an outstanding layout of food (just plowed through a rare, thick-cut roastbeef sandwich).

_______

8:49 — chatting w/ Beth from YeahRightWhatever. Waiting on Sen. Corny to start speaking. Has Noriega conceded yet?

9:21 — still waiting on candidates to start showing up.

10:21 — Great speeches. I’ll upload some video later. Congratulations to Sen. Obama. We survived Jimmy Carter. We’ll survive this.

Good night everybody.

One Response to “Live Blogging the Texas GOP Victory Party”

OK. I just read this, and had to tell you that I found the “why do these guys always end up being so much younger than I imagined them to be?” extremely humorous.

[Editor --- In was nice to meet you at the party, Joshua.]

Got something you want to say?
