Cops are some of my favorite people.
They’re the guys who run towards danger and the sounds of gunfire — like these Houston cops:
A witness gave deputies a description of the vehicle that Onyeije Giles was driving. About 10 minutes later, deputies spotted the tan Ford Ranger near Barton Oaks and Dew Drop Lane.
Giles began firing as the deputies approached the truck, smashing a window in one of the patrol cars, officials said.
“No deputies were hit or injured,” Legg said.
Giles raced away with deputies in pursuit. After a few minutes, he drove into the parking lot at a Woodforest National Bank branch in the 8100 block of Barker Cypress.
Blocked in by the pursuing deputies, Giles tried to force his way out, ramming at least two of the patrol cars, police said.
He again shot at the deputies, who returned fire. Giles was pronounced dead at the scene. A pistol was later found during a search of his pickup.
Outstanding work, officers. Thank you for your courage and bravery — but mostly for being good shots and saving Houston and Texas tax payers the burden of trying and incarcerating this piece of scum.

Good job officers. Thank God none of you were hit. This happened 300 yards from my house and I heard it all. You aren’t given the credit you deserve for the job you do. Stay safe.
