Texas Longhorns Thump Kansas Jayhawks

On Saturday, the Texas Longhorns took care of business in Lawrence, KS by shutting down the high-octane offense of the Kansas Jayhawks with a dominating 35-7 road victory.

But we still need some help to make it to the National Championship game — an Oklahoma Sooner win over Texas Tech next weekend would be a good start…and likely all the help that we would need.

On an otherwise great day for the Longhorns, there was an embarrassing moment during the broadcast — and a perfect reason why some people should stay in school.

I’m talking about the sideline interview with former Longhorn running back and current Kansas City Chief, Jamaal Charles.

Charles left Texas early last year to enter the NFL draft. When asked about his former Longhorn team, Charles responded with an exceptional command of the English language:

I miss playing on Saturday but playing on Sunday is more better and more funner.

Wow. Perhaps a little more time in the classroom and a little less time on the gridiron would have been a good idea, Jamaal…that’s all I’m saying.

  1. Henh.
If the Sooners beat Tech by more than ten, and then beat OSU, OU has the tiebreaker for the Big 12 South.
    GO SOONERS!

  2. You don’t know the half of it, Robbie. I was in a screenwriting class over the summer in which a woman (23 years old) used the word “sale” as a verb. And it wasn’t just one goof, it was repeated numerous times throughout her pages.

HOW DO THESE PEOPLE GET INTO COLLEGE??!?!?!?!?!

  3. They get in so the old ball team can win for the alumni.
