California Gays — Intolerant Bigots

UPDATE and a bit of a disclaimer — Gabriel Malor at Ace of Spades is absolutely correct when he says:

So let’s clear a few things up. First, these folks don’t represent all gays, nor do they represent all people who want to legalize gay marriage. Do not make the mistake of thinking that gay marriage is inextricably linked to harassment of Mormons and blacks. It is not. And many gays (I would hope most gays) understand that Christians and blacks do not deserve the harassment they are getting from a few rowdy loudmouths who are being indulged by the drama-starved media.

So, Teh Ghays in California are getting all pissy because the greater majority of Californians voted to uphold a more traditional definition of marriage.

Actually, pissy probably isn’t the right word. As the protests and threats are getting pretty out of hand. And the threats of increased violence against those who voted against them is alarming.

Teh Ghays are lashing out at blacks, Christians, and — especially — Mormons who opposed them.

There have been threats to burn Mormon churches to the ground and to attack and harass the people who voted against them.

But, as it turns out, Teh Ghays are really nothing more than a bunch of fucking pussies.

First of all, the voters have had their say. Deal with it. Or at least try to deal with it in a civil, non-violent manner.

And secondly, I’ve noticed that there are no protests being planned at any local mosques. Nor are any local Muslims or Muslim groups incurring the wrath of Teh Ghays.

Few groups have a more definitive anti-homosexual stance than do Muslims. The penalty for homosexuality in Islam is pretty sever: death. Usually in a pretty brutal manner.

I’d be surprised if a single California Muslim voted against Proposition 8 — and yet Teh Ghays are not threatening or harassing them.

Could it be that Teh Ghays understand that peaceful Mormons pose no retalitory threat? But that the Muslim brotherhood might be a bit less tolerant?
