Question: What is the difference between Iraq and American Liberals?
In Iraq, at least, Christmas is celebrated as a religious holiday. The American Left? Not so much — more of a winter solstice festival of sorts…where there is more effort spent removing Christ from Christmas than celebrating His birth and the reason for the season.
BAGHDAD – Iraq’s Christians, a scant minority in this overwhelmingly Muslim country, quietly celebrated Christmas on Thursday with a present from the government, which declared it an official holiday for the first time.
That’s right…for the first time ever Christmas is an officially recognized Holiday in Iraq. Before now — in the previous regime — you could still celebrate Christmas if you wanted to. Of course, if you were caught you were likely to be killed in one of Saddam’s torture chambers while his son Uday raped your children.
Call me strange — but I think this change is a wonderful thing.
Of course, to acknowledge this is a great thing, Liberals would have to admit that our troops efforts and the actions of our President have been succesful and made a difference in the lives of the people of Iraq.

I agree, this is a very good thing.
While there are still problems in Iraq, and enough whacked-out mufsideen that are giving the Christians in Iraq a hard time, particularly in Ninevah/Mosul, that it is now a national holiday, makes this a momentous change in the ME.
