…boundless? Vast? So much fun to make fun of? All the above?
While reading various blogs on the wonderful defeat of (former) Rep. William “Cold Cash” Jefferson (D-LA) today, I checked out some of the comments around the Left-o-sphere to see their reacts.
To their credit, most of them — though not happy about the loss — are glad to see Jefferson gone. Much like Republicans are glad to see Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) was defeated.
But I came across this delusional comment over at Talk Left:
So republicans achieved their objective with their anti-NOLA non-recovery to disperse Blacks from the NOLA area to regain control. They are using the same strategy in the Midwest. By fighting to make GM/Chrysler/Ford go under they will disperse a predominant Blue State region population. Any where will those skilled autoworkers go…why to those low-paid Japanese plants in non-union red states like Tennessee.
Pretty much every word that poured forth from that assclown is blathering idiocy. But especially the part that I emphasized.
Note to the lunatics at Talk Left: there is no vast right wing conspiracy to make the Big 3 go under. The GOP is doing nothing at all to cause the predicament that they find themselves in now. Who is to blame? The UAW, mostly. But also the uninspired, cheap crap that Detroit has been pushing on Americans for far too long.
They are failed businesses of their own doing. Period.
Trying to somehow place the blame on the Right just shows how little grasp you have left on reality.
________
As to the more popular view of Jefferson being ousted…
Sure, we all would have preferred for these two guys (Stevens and Jefferson) to have lost in the primary so an “electable” candidate could have won in their stead and gave their respective parties a fighting chance of retaining their seats.
But any time you dump politicians as corrupt as Stevens and Jefferson, it’s a good thing.
Now, if only the folks of PA could wake the hell up and and put Murth out of business…

Don’t stop there keep going!!!
