The begging for federal bailout funds has become absolutely ridiculous.

Once it became obvious that our government was indiscriminately handing out “bailout” funds to the tune of hundreds-upon-hundreds-upon-hundreds of billions of dollars — well, it’s kinda like winning the Powerball lottery…get ready for all of your crazy long-lost relatives to start showing up out of the woodwork.

And I’m not even talking about the porn industry, which is claiming hard times in a limp economy (yeah, I know…)

I’m referring to town and cities around America — large and small — whose local (and often corrupt and/or inept) local governments are begging for more tax dollars from people that don’t even live in their communities.

Towns like Edwardsville, Ala., with a population of 194 people. Which wants $375 million worth of federal “bailout” funds. Or $1.93 million per resident.

And why do they “need” the money? So they can build a “green museum” in order to attract more (some?) tourist to their tiny rat-hole of town.

The Gov’s bailout of banks and automakers is making EVERYBODY think they deserve a handout too.

Fucking ridiculous. Which means I wouldn’t be surprised if Edwardsville gets their money.

I propose the unincorporated census-designated place of Jollyville, TX be granted half-a-billion dollars for, well, just send us the money and we’ll think up something. TRUST US!

And now on Drudge Obama tells us he can’t keep his promises and every one of us is going to have to sacrifice. Well so much for hope and change. And, he wants us to buy into more money going down the rat hole. I DON’T THINK SO.

A green museum, eh?
So a massive government give away for an environmentally friendly museum, which will require massive amounts of energy to build, with all of the manufactured products, the fossil fueled vehicles to transport those products, the fossil fueled vehicles required to transport the construction workers, all of the electricity and gas power needed to feed, shelter, and supply the workers, as well as the fossil fuel powered vehicles for the tourists to drive.
Perhaps the green alternative, to this needless waste of cash resources, would be for the city of Edwardsville to cover their buildings in Ivy. Everything is green, problem solved.

Are the American people finally waking up and realizing that nothing is going to change in the new administration except our pocket books getting smaller with all the bailout money we are forced to buy. Doesn’t surprise me. More government BS.

Got something you want to say?
