Sen. Jim DeMint: Equal Tax Credits for US Citizens vs. Non-citizen Immigrants.
Wow.
Did someone find the vault where Congressional Republicans were stashing thier balls? Because it suddently looks like they might be growing a collective pair.
Republican law makers are brilliantly introducing bills that shove Democrat’s hypocrisy and corruption down their throats.
First we had Rep. John Carter (R-TX) introduce the “Rangel Rule” bill, allowing ordinary citizens to avoid paying IRS penalties and fees for not paying their taxes on time…just like Rep. Charlie Rangle (D-NY) and Timmy Geithner (D-head of the IRS).
And now I just received the following Tweet from Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC):
Just offered amendment to allow tax deduction for child health care EQUAL to the govn’t benefit given by Dems to non-citizen immigrants.
Wow. Just brilliant. But the need for this amendment raises two interesting questions I’d like to ask Dems:
- Why the hell aren’t tax-paying US citizens getting a tax deduction for child health care at least equal to non-citizen immigrants.
- Why the hell are we even giving tax deductions to non-citizen immigrants for child care?
Sen. DeMint, if I may, I’d like to propose an amendment to your amendment — why not make the tax credit for child care GREATER for US tax-paying citizens than for non-citizen immigrants? Now, that’s change I could get behind.

Just like Rush Limbaugh needs a Democrat in the Oval Office to boost his relevance and ratings, I think the GOP needs to be out of power in order to start acting like, you know, the GOP.
Ya’ll think that the ‘economic crisis’ may be a little over-rated and is being used as cover for advancing Socialism? Everything I see and read points this way…….
The best thing the House Repubs did was stand 100% against the stimulus package. That FORCED the MSM to cover the story and tell the real truth about condoms and other assorted things which do nothing for jobs. I hope this forces the hand of the Senate as well. We do need a stimulus. We don’t need to give benefits to illegal aliens or ACORN grrrrrrr
A left-wing friend of mine keeps telling us to be “pragmatic” and support the shift to socialism. I told him I look long-term. Socialism might help us in the near term, but long-term it’ll be devastating.
FDR’s policies actually extended the Great Depression by seven years!

Atruen,
No, it’s a bad situation, alright.
Yes, it is, and if the current economic crisis didn’t exist, another crisis would have had to be created. The donks are in full power grab mode.
More than any other question, your question #2 is the one that I think deserves an answer.
As bad as things are right now, economically, it could be a whole lot worse, and this is the direction we are heading, if the gubmint continues to take controlling interests in our private enterprises.

Ah, the Limbaugh Brigade finally gets the ride the Big Wheel. It was only a matter of time before the Daddy Party was forced to kiss the legendary pilonidil cyst. Viva Rush!!
JCC, I don’t follow your incoherent rambling.
I do agree with your final assessment, though.
VIVA RUSH!!
