Summary of Week 1 of the Obama Administration

Over the weekend, the list of subpoenas served by the U.S. Attorney’s office in the Governor Rod Blagojevich case was made public.

To no one’s surprise, a big chunk of Obama’s just-appointed staff is on that subpoena list. Despite the fact that Obama lied that his staff had “no contact” with Blagojevich.

Not a great first week for the Chosen One:

Let’s recap, shall we?

In the first week, Obama has not cut taxes — the only proven way to revive the economy — despite promising to do so for “95% of working Americans” (which was almost certainly a lie, but let’s wait and see); signed an order to close Gitmo, certain to make America less safe; and promoted abortion on a global scale.

Oh, and most of his senior staff was served with subpoenas.

I can hardly wait for week two.

  1. Hey Robbie – if having a black Preznit gives you epididymitis, then why not move to Baghdad? I hear that place is the shit now that Junior liberated it.

  2. A witty rejoinder from the board’s confirmed liar.

Tell us another story about that fake child, Pattycakes.

  3. Actions of Obama in first six days (on the 7th he rested)

    Bombed Pakistan – killed civilians
    Pissed of Pakistanis
    Closed Gitmo
    Pissed off 9-11 Familes
    Funded foreign abortions
    Pissed off Vatican
Ruled on lobbyists in the new administration
Ask for waiver to rule on lobbyists in the new administration
    Insulted Politico reporter
    Insulted Rush Limbaugh
Insulted Republicans with his “I won” comment
Bashed Bush on new White House website

And yet, the AP advises us that the Clown In Chief took no divisive stances in his first week.

I wonder, are media whores better paid than ship channel whores? Pat? You should know the answer to that.

  4. I’m very worried about Eric Holder, Obama’s pick for attorney general. Last week, during his confirmation hearing, he did something that sent shivers down my spine–he called torture, “torture.”

I’m not the only one who was rattled by that. The current AG, Michael Mukasey, worries that once you start calling torture, “torture,” you create the possibility that torturers will be prosecuted for it.

He’s right, but it’s even worse than he thinks. You see, it’s a slippery slope. Once you call torture, “torture,” and start prosecuting torturers, what’s to stop you from calling rape, “rape,” and murder, “murder” and prosecuting rapists and murderers. Before long, a good chunk of Pentagon’s command structure and its associated contractors could be under indictment. Heck, after that, there’d be no one left to bring democracy and freedom to the countries we bomb.

And that’s just a part of the problem. Prosecuting torturers and rapists would also wreak havoc on our fundraising and legislative efforts.

So get on the phone and call your Senators. We have to stop Holder before he forces Justice to pursue justice.

  5. Pat, which one of Obama’s week 1 failures have anything to do with his race? Or where did I even mention race?

I love how comfortable and consistent Liberals are at screaming “racist” or playing the race card when it is in fact ONLY them bringing up race at all.

  6. Obama could surrender this nation and Pat would still eagerly eat the corn out Obama’s morning constitutional.

  7. Pat, so desperate to change the subject, just like his Dear Leader.

And JC, Eric Holder’s idea of justice has a terrible track record, and not likely to change for the better while serving a radical Marxist President.
So, dissent as the highest form of Patriotism, only applies to moonbats? Thought so, thanks for the confirmation.

  8. General JC Christian, I can’t believe I am agreeing with you. So I propose new laws.

When a bunch of fraternity guys get together and force a pledge to stay up all night, they should be arrested, prosecuted and found guilty of crimes against humanity. When anyone goes swimming with a friend, and dunks that friend’s head under the water, they should also be arrested, prosecuted and found guilty of crimes against humanity. Then there is the huge matter of illegal immigrants down the street from me that play their mariachi music all night, keeping me awake until I get so angry I call the law. Again, arrest them, prosecute them and find them guilty of crimes against humanity.

I am also sure that you would also agree that Eric Holder’s own law firm, where he is a senior law partner (full partner), of Covington and Burling, should represent those now arrested for crimes against humanity with the same pro bono policy that they current have in place to represent 17 Yemens and 1 Palestinian who are currently being held at Gitmo? Right?

See? Problem fixed. We will now be a more “compassionate” and “moral” nation and I am sure that within days, all the jolly jihadists will return to their goats (or their neighbor’s 8 year old sons) and give up trying to kill infidels.

  9. President Barrack Hussein Obama.
    What a great sound.
    He’s your worst nightmare.
    A liberal with the football.
    70% approval rating nationwide.
    60% in Texas.
    Suck it up rednecks.
It’s going to be along 16 years (eight with Obama and eight with Hillary Rodham Clinton).
As always, you’re on the wrong side of history.
    Even better, you’re irrelevant.

  10. He’s everybody’s worse nightmare. Yesterday, he gave Iran a blow job. Iran was behind Hamas attacking Israel and behind the ambush of an Israeli convoy yesterday. It’s not like anybody didn’t see that he would be a tool of the islamofascists.

  11. Even better, you’re irrelevant.

No, the person who is irrelevant is the tool who lies about who and what they are in order to fake credibility because they have none. And that person would be you.

  13. My sis is a visiting home health care nurse in Chicago suburb. Has a 60 year old patient with advanced M.S. Patient required 3 people to transfer her to and from the toilet while in rehab center. Medicaid deemed her fit to go home and refused to pay for further rehab. Physical Therapy staff from rehab center sent note with patient that if patient needs assistance transferring to and from toilet and no one is available to help her, have her call a neighbor.

And MY TAX MONEY is going to foreign countries to pay for abortions.
