Jackie Calmes at the official Newspaper of Unrestrained Barrack Obama Knobslobbing (formerly The New York Times) posted this funny headline this a.m. in regards to Obama’s embarrassing pick of Timmy Geithner for Treasury Secretary:
Geithner’s Skill May Trump Tax Issue
Uh huh. Just how skilled at this whole tax thing can the guy be — for three years he failed forgot to pay self-employment tax on his salary. Despite the fact that he remembered to cash the reimbursement check he received to cover his self-employment tax.
The fact that he employed exploited an illegal alien maid almost seems trivial.
How does his inability to figure out his own taxes equat to “great skillz” for running the IRS?
If that’s the case, I’m sure Wesley Snipes would like to make the case that his mad acting skillz should trump his little tax issue (if not, Wesley should just use the perfectly acceptable “I forgot to pay my taxes” loophole).

What bothers me about this is Obama’s attitude. He knows full well the whole damn story, yet he calls it an innocent mistake. Given the culture of corruption he comes from in Illinois, it’s probably mild by comparison but it’s still not an innocent mistake and he knows better.
We’re developing a whole new set of morals in this country and the only laws that count are the ones they want to enforce.
