This one’s a biggun: More than 100 Congressman (42 Republicans and 62 Democrats) secured earmarks for a single lobbying firm linked to Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) in a single bill:
More than 100 House members secured earmarks for clients of The PMA Group, known for its ties to John P. Murtha, the congressman in charge of Pentagon appropriations… The same House members who took responsibility for PMA’s earmarks in that spending bill have, since 2001, accepted a cumulative $1,815,138 in campaign contributions from PMA’s political action committee and employees of the firm.
Most. Corrupt. Congress. Ever.
Nearly every single corrupt bastard on the Hill is for sale to the highest bidder.
PMA’s offices have been raided, and the firm closed its political action committee last week amid reports that the FBI is investigating possibly illegal campaign contributions to Murtha and other lawmakers.
Each and every one of these corrupt-o-crats in Congress in concerned with one thing: staying in power. And the only way to do this is to be re-elected. Which costs money. The best way to get money is to have PACs give you bunches of it. But the PACs, of course, expect something in return: they want government funding and earmarks for thier companies and clients.
Influence is for sale, and they are no longer even trying to hide it. And you and me and are closed out of the entire deal. Our representative government has been dissolved.
Time to Abolish this Congress?
We’re getting really, really close to needing to empty the entire Congressional swamp and start over. Thankfully, our Declaration of Independence allows for doing exactly that:
That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, – That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
How Much Longer Are We Going to Put Up With This?
Have you seen the 1995 movie Powder?
It’s about an 18-year old albino boy named Jeremy ‘Powder’ Reed (played by Sean Patrick Flanery) who has the highest I.Q. ever recorded. Powder has harnessed the power of his brain for remarkable abilities (including telekinesis and telepathy).
He is being held and studied at a facility by two doctors (Mary Steenburgen adn Jeff Goldblum).
As the movie progresses, Powder is becoming less-and-less patient with the doctors, and wanting more-and-more to go home.
At one point, after shattering a glass door with his mind, he stares at Steenburgen and asks calmly and rhetorically, “How much longer did you think I’d let you keep me here?” At which point he gets up and walks out.
As our Congressional leadership becomes more-and-more entrenched in corruption, greed, and cronyism — and as they get further and further away from doing what’s in the best interest of our nation and it’s citizens (and only do what is best for their own personal ambition), I ask, “How much longer do you think wer’e going to let you get away with this (before we abolish it)?
Me? I think we’re long past due to abolish the current elite political ruling class and get back to a government of the people that truly works for the people.

We should just start ignoring these bastards. Any law that comes out of D.C… refuse to abide by it. Any new tax that is levied… refuse to pay it. Any proclamation or demand they issue… ignore it.
