Dale Devon Scheanette (known as the “bathtub killer”) is set to be executed this evening by the state of Texas for the the 1996 capital murder of Wendie Prescott in her Arlington apartment.
After raping and strangling Prescott, Scheanette left her face down in a half-filled bathtub, where she was later discovered by her family.
While his conviction stemmed from one murder, the lead prosecutor on the case, Greg Miller, said the case was one of many Scheanette had been connected to across the Metroplex, including another murder in Arlington, a series of sexual assaults in Grand Prairie and Lancaster and the 1999 rape of a UT Arlington student at the Delta Sigma Theta sorority house.
“He was indicted on all seven cases,” Miller said. “He was convicted on the one capital murder charge, but all seven were presented during sentencing.”

Arlington detective Tommy Lenior remembered, “The crime scenes were absolutely horrific – brutal and violent, the worst nightmare for anyone confronted with that kind of attack. I don’t like to think what the ladies went through.” Dale Devon, known as the Bathtub Killer, brutally raped and tortured his victims before drowning them.

As for this former murderer, Scheanette, what I find truly sad is, I can’t find one image of Christine Vu. When her murder was in the news in 96, there were photos, and she was beautiful young lady.
I remember when her brutally murdered body was found by her family, and still can’t imagine the horror it must have been for them. I truly hope that they can find some peace, knowing that there daughters murderer did not go free, and that justice was served.

Virginia executed a cop killer recently. Mr. Edward Nathaniel Bell, a Jamaican, was executed for the 1999 murder of Sergeant Ricky Timbrook who was a member of the Winchester Virginia Police Department. Sergeant Timbrook had been chasing Mr. Bell, when Mr. Bell shot him in the head at close range. Mr. Bell knew Sergeant Timbrook, having been arrested by him on a previous occasion. The immigration authorites had moved to deport Mr. Bell prior to this henoious crime, and why Mr. Bell was not deported is unknown to me. Be safe.
I’m laughing at the next freak show – ken morris who is scheduled to be executed on 3/4. He has some UK groupie hooked and footing the bills. She was upset over some email she received but wouldn’t reveal what it was. Then a relative of Morris’ joined pto and posted what morris was really like, that the groupie was a fool, and that the family resented her interference. Obviously, it was the relative who emailed the groupie. Anyway, the post went down the memory hole. Groupie forked over $7500 to hire an atty for a clemency appeal. That’s money thrown away. And she’s leaving her own kids and flying to Texas. More money thrown away. I wonder how much money she spent on attys and sending him cash all together. What a waste!

I am a member of a certain website and I have been banned from the Execution, death penalty and in memoriam threads because I had the audacity to state I was pro-DP and that if these bleeding hearts want to stop executions then what shall we do with these animals… no real response other than ‘ we need to look at the past to learn better what to do with these thugs’ its absolute bullshit.
