The Most Corrupt Man in Congress

John Murtha is not only a coward, a traitor, and an ex-Marine reviled by nearl the entirety of the USMC — he’s also one of the dirtiest, most corrupt men ever to sit in Congress.

And that’s really saying something. So, it comes as no suprise that Rep. John “ABSCAM” Murtha is in hot water over his overt influence peddling:

The FBI is investigating Representative John P. Murtha’s relationship with a defense lobbying group whose offices they raided in November.

Murtha is the chairman of the House Defense Appropriations Committee, a group of lawmakers that decides how much money goes to military spending. Sources tell the Washington Post that the FBI is looking at whether Murtha, along with fellow Democratic Reps. James P. Moran and Peter J. Visclosky, handed out defense contracts based on illegal contributions from lobbyists.

The Post reports that Murtha gave out “hundreds of millions of dollars in earmarks for defense firms, which have donated generously to him.” Most of those firms developed relationships with Murtha through PMA, a defense lobbying company. The founder of PMA, Paul Magliocchetti, once worked as Murtha’s aide. Former aides to Moran and Visclosky also worked for the company.

No way? Murtha was lining his own pockets by handing out Defense contracts to his cronies and any one else willing to grease the skids a little? Feign surprise.

The people of Pennsylvania had their chance to retire this crook and traitor with a true American hero last year (Bill Russel) — but apparently the folks of PA have become fat and lazy on the Murtha’s pork farm. Some times you get the representation you deserve — but the idiot voters of PA have hoisted this corrupt-c-crat on the rest of the nation.

Here’s to hoping that this fat bastard goes down. And then goes to prison.

Which is just wishful thinking — this pathetic shell of a man will end up dying in office before he’d step away from the trough. Just like his “too-old and feeble to still be doing the job of leading this nation” cronies, Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd.
