Did Obama just appoint former Washington D.C. Mayor, current city councilman, and notorious crack-fiend Marion Barry (D-that goes without saying) to a cabinet post?
I mean, with tax problems like Marion “I’ll snort cocaine from the crack of your ass” Barry has — he’d be a natural fit in the Obama administration. Plus he’s black.
WASHINGTON (AP) – Prosecutors asked a federal judge Monday to send former Washington mayor Marion Barry to jail for failing to file his tax returns for the eighth time in nine years.
In a motion filed in U.S. District Court, Assistant U.S. Attorney Tom Zeno said Barry, who’s also a current District of Columbia Council member did not file his taxes in 2007, violating his probation for previous tax offenses.
Barry, 72, was given three years of probation in 2006 after pleading guilty to misdemeanor charges for failing to file his tax returns from 1999 to 2004. As part of a plea bargain, he agreed to file future federal and local tax returns annually.
What is it with Democrats and not paying taxes — while at the same time demanding that the rest of us pay higher and higher taxes (and by “the rest of us”, I mean tax paying Conservatives)?
In Monday’s motion, prosecutors noted that Barry has now failed to file his taxes on time for the eighth time in nine years and called his conduct “indefensible.”
“It is not acceptable for any citizen to shirk a basic civil duty, let alone a former mayor and a current city councilman who has been responsible in the past and continues to be responsible for spending public funds collected from District of Columbia taxpayers,” the motion states.
If this guy wasn’t a highly-connected Democrat politician, he’d have been rotting away in a federal penitentiary a long time ago. Which is where he belongs now. I’ll bet Wesley Snipes would agree.
Barry’s best bet for avoiding jail or any additional fines or penalities from the IRS would obviously be to get an appointment to the Obama administration, whereby Obama can tell everybody that Barry simply made an honest mistake by not paying taxes for 8 of the last 9 years. And then the media would go “oooh” and “ahhh” and all would be forgiven and forgotten.
Again…it begs the question — are there any elected Democrats who do pay their taxes?

Oh, and in case you notice things like this (I do), the long and detailed Associated Press article never did discover what party Marion Barry is affiliated with. Just in case you were wondering he’s just another tax cheating, drug and prostitiution loving Democrat.
In the 2008 Council of the District of Columbia, Ward 8, General Election, Mr. Barry was re-elected with a whopping 92% of the vote. Which prooves conclusively that the people of Ward 8 in Washington D.C. are morons. It’s amazing that they remember to breath while they are walking or chewing gum.

Maybe a thorough investigation of the voters in Ward 8 would reveal that, indeed, they do not breathe, chew gum, or even exist.
Knowing how the donks operate, it wouldn’t surprise me.
