  • Feeling out of the loop—but is there a #teaparty in Austin, TX today? #tcot #
  • @dquack Disagree. Newspapers are dying precisely because of the lack of honest invst. reporting. Reporters have become water carriers #tpra in reply to dquack #

  • RT @laurasingleton: “George Allen @ #CPAC09: atty gen was sworn to protect US constitution, not mexican feds or UN priorities” – Amen. #
  • @mjsamuelson Sigh. I’d been trying to find if Austin was having a #teaparty. This is first I heard of it. Fail on communication. in reply to mjsamuelson #
  • I wonder if Eric Holder wants an honest discussion on race w/ 1SG King (definitely NOT a coward): http://bit.ly/Tn9yK #

  • RT @KXAN_News: “TX Senate debates plan requiring voters to present photo ID before voting in state elections.” – Praying it passes. #
  • Wasabi & Soy Sauce flavored almonds? AWESOME! #
  • Is there really an Austin #teaparty going on right now? Really? Is there anybody there? Anybody on Twitter to verify? #tcot #
  • RT @mjsamuelson: Wish I’d heard of it sooner than this a.m. — too late to make plans to be there. #teaparty. #

  1. So, I live in a State with a budget surplus, I pay my mortgage on time every month, I did not borrow more than I could repay on my house loan, I get myself to work every day, I pay for the Health Care plan of my choice, have the Doctor of my choice, pay about one third of my income in taxes as a ‘middle income’ tax-payer. Now, lets see. Due to the Generational Theft Act, due to be paid back by my grandchildren and great-grandchildren (not imaginary ones, patty, just future ones), fiscally irresponsible states like California will get a larger proportion of the GTA money, irresponsible home buyers will get my money, more welfare cases will get added onto the medicaid roles getting more of my money, my taxes will rise in multiple semi-hidden ways, my standard of living will drop. Yeah, now I see why I have worked hard all of my life, why I have been playing by the rules all along. Now I see. Am I mad? hell yeah. just about mad enough to, well, lets not get on a government watch-list here but ya’ll know what I mean.

    • Artruen, this weeks Mark Steyn is for you.

If you’re feeling a sudden urge to “invest” in a gallon of tequila and a couple of hookers and wake up with an almighty hangover and no pants in a rusting dumpster on a bit of abandoned scrub round the back of the freight yards, it may be because you’re one of that dwindling band of Americans foolish enough to pursue his living in what we used to call “the private sector.”
