Civil Disobedience: Stamp out Tax Cheat Tim Geithner

tax_cheat_stampDave G at Where’s the Change?? has come up with a brilliant act of civil disobedience (it’s not JUST for Liberals anymore, don’t you know?) in regards to having a tax cheat as our Nation’s new Secretary of the Treasury.

  1. Pull out your wallet.
  2. Take out a dollar bill (or a 5, 10, 20…it doesn’t matter the amount).
  3. Take a look in the bottom right-hand corner. See the stamped signature of the Secretary of the Treasury?
  4. Stamp it.

Dave’s idea is pretty simple — and the more people who get in on it the better:

In the case of Treasury Secretary Geithner, I am going to have a rubber stamp made that says “Tax Cheat!” in block letters. Every time I see a piece of paper currency with Geithner’s signature on it, I am going to stamp over his name with my Tax Cheat stamp. Sure, this action is just as futile as my vote, but eventually maybe others will reach the same conclusion that I have: it is far past time to make our voices heard.

I’ve already purchased two stamps. One to keep at the office, and one for home.

While I still have access to some of my money (before Obama and Geithner decide they [and their constituents] need it more than I do) — I’m going to be a stamping fool.

Is this legal? I don’t know and I don’t care.

NOTE:  The only criminal statute regulating the destruction or defacement of U.S. currency requires fraudulent intent. The statute itself is broader than simply banning the fraudulent modification or attempt to pass defaced currency (via Title 18 United States Code, Section 331).

Michelle Malkin is promoting it too, so hopefully quite a few more people will learn about it and get in on it. If you’re feeling like there is a double-standard when it comes to having to pay your taxes and want to express your displeasure with having a tax cheat in charge of the IRS, you can go to one of these places to buy your rubber stamp (or just buy a red Sharpie and hand write it on each bill yourself):

  1. How things have changed Robbie.

It was only a couple of weeks ago that I ventured in here to make sure your ‘transition’ away from the dark side was going well, when I was amazed to see you’d taken the debate into pretty simple, and may I say ‘redneck’ terms – that is, the horror of the desecration of your beloved USA flag (well, having the portrait of your now president super embossed upon it! – which I argue would have been applauded on here if that president was white from a republican stance!) .

ANYWAY you’re now encouraging the desecration of your monetary unit of currency, with the explanation that you simply “don’t care” if it is perceived to be illegal.

Now that’s funny. Not in anyway different to what I expected from the average thug loving right wing redneck POV mind, put funny none the less.
I’m guessing you think this doesn’t amount to desecration because think you’ve basically printed another $833 billion at Obama’s discretion? No? Hey, I’m trying to help you out of a hole here.

Two faced redneck southern bullshit. Fight the cause Robbie, you’re becoming another dodo. Who am I gonna argue with when we’re living in utopia without you’re backward following?

  2. Nah, it’s time for a good old fashioned tax revolt. It brought us freedom and liberty from a ruthless, tyrannical government once before.

Ha! Keep up with your own countries movements- you’ve just gotten a massive tax cut from this $833 billion promise!

Anyway, why is it always those whom pay little to no tax who always moan about the what they pay?
I pay 40% income tax and I’m cool with that. I guess I don’t mind giving back to my country so we can get even greater?

    • Sam, it won’t be long, they probably already have the designs ready to go.
      Wilders to the UK “Cowards.”
Melanie Philips also has something to say about their cowardice.
      Britain capitulates to terror.

So let’s get this straight. The British government allows people to march through British streets screaming support for Hamas, it allows Hizb ut Tahrir to recruit on campus for the jihad against Britain and the west, it takes no action against a Muslim peer who threatens mass intimidation of Parliament, but it bans from the country a member of parliament of a European democracy who wishes to address the British Parliament on the threat to life and liberty in the west from religious fascism.

It is he, not them, who is considered a ‘serious threat to one of the fundamental interests of society’. Why? Because the result of this stand for life and liberty against those who would destroy them might be an attack by violent thugs. The response is not to face down such a threat of violence but to capitulate to it instead.

My how the mighty empire has descended to a pitiful mass of weepy, wimpy, wusses.

  11. Funny how some little ‘euroweenie’, ‘jonjon’,'rollover’ gets SO much attention on here!
You guys must have really nothing else to fill your wasted ‘I wish I could be in the real army and stop f*cking my GI Joe on a daily basis’ lives with?

Sam, time for some education my ‘dick head redneck southern twat’ friend. Back in 1985 – yes, people were alive back then! – we had a pretty equal balance going on, almost one for one. Since then, we have been raping you pretty hard. 1.44 is still almost 50% higher than then so go and get an education you dick wipe!

November 2007 must have been painful for you guys. We raped not only you army wanna-bees with a 2.02 but we had most your family.

Not bad for such a ‘Euro-weenie’. ‘rollover’, ‘JonJon’ state?

You guys are weak. So f*cking weak I hope Obama sends some emergency education your way – it’s in dire need, probably more than the New Orleans emergency!

    Reneck fuckends!
