And now — feign surprise — our 100% Democrat City Council is salivating like Rosie O’Donnell and Oprah jostling each other to be first in line at an all-you-can-eat cupcake buffet to get their hands on some of that golden goose stimulus money:
AUSTIN (KXAN) – The City of Austin is feverishly working to get its piece of stimulus pie. Austin City Manager Marc Ott sent a memo to council members and staff Thursday saying he believes Austin is eligible for 51 of the 200 programs under President Obama’s recent stimulus package passed in February.
Of course they are — because there is nothing Democrats love more than spending other people’s money on their own little pet projects.
That this pork-laden spending bill stimulates anything other than the pocket books of Democrats and their supporters is a myth and a lie.
