I’m always shocked when I hear about Americans talking about capital punishment. What gives the government the right to take a life? It’s not possible to justify it. And it’s no better than a murderer taking a life. Have you ever thought of the possibility of executing the wrong guy? You can never take it back.

I live in Norway, a country with some of the lowest criminal ratings in the world. We do not practice capital punishment. Can you please explain that – in favor of capital punishment?

Too bad you weren’t quicker sticking your hand out to catch some of that “play money” being tossed about as part of the “stimulus” package. As far as I’m concerned, this “research” would be putting the money to better use than the majority of the handouts (which isn’t saying much).
