The idea of the President&#039;s &quot;honeymoon with the press&quot; is a myth.  It may have been real once upon a time, but not for years.  If the president is a Democrat, the press will support him for his entire time in office.  If he&#039;s a Republican, they will oppose him starting with the minute he takes the oath of office. 

WJC&#039;s &quot;honeymoon&quot; lasted eight years; GWB did not have a &quot;honeymoon&quot;.  The trend will continue with BHO.  </description>
