Camille Paglia Thinks Heads Should Roll on Obama’s Posse

My favorite Liberal pundit, Camille Paglia, lays into Obama — or more accurately, the flacks, fixers and goons that comprise his posse:

First it was that chaotic pig rut of a stimulus package, which let House Democrats throw a thousand crazy kitchen sinks into what should have been a focused blueprint for economic recovery. Then it was the stunt of unnerving Wall Street by sending out a shrill duo of slick geeks (Timothy Geithner and Peter Orszag) as the administration’s weirdly adolescent spokesmen on economics. Who could ever have confidence in that sorry pair?

If all of this is so obvious to a liberal feminist like Camille, why can’t the rest of the Libs see it too? (I’m guessing they can, but are too embarrassed to admit they elected an average [at best] community organizer who is in way over his head as POTUS.)

Read the entire piece…Camille is an entertaining writer and sharp critic.

Like this paragraph on the Limbaugh vs. Obama hilarity:

Case in point: The orchestrated attack on radio host Rush Limbaugh, which has made the White House look like an oafish bunch of drunken frat boys. I returned from carnival in Brazil (more on that shortly) to find the Limbaugh affair in full flower. Has the administration gone mad? This entire fracas was set off by the president himself, who lowered his office by targeting a private citizen by name. Limbaugh had every right to counterattack, which he did with gusto. Why have so many Democrats abandoned the hallowed principle of free speech? Limbaugh, like our own liberal culture hero Lenny Bruce, is a professional commentator who can be as rude and crude as he wants.

Exactly.

Gina Cobb thinks that Paglia is a little bit remiss in not laying some of the blame on Obama himself, rather than on his flacks, fixers and goons — after all, much like his other friends Tony Rezko, Bill Ayers, and Jeremiah Wright, Obama picked them:

Paglia puts the blame for all the recent “flubs” on the anyone other than Obama — who is, after all, still the object of her political affections.  Instead of blaming Obama, she blames his advisers and staff – his “flacks, fixers, and goons.”

Would it be too undiplomatic to point out that all of Obama’s “flacks, fixers and goons” were picked by Obama?  If we can’t blame him for their “flubs,” can we at least blame Obama for being a poor judge of competence and character?

Good point Gina. And I agree — Obama is as bad a a judge of character as he is a speaker without his teleprompter.

  1. Rush Limbaugh is not a private citizen.

  2. That B-HO displays such poor judge of character is only fitting, since he has such poor character.

    • Ooooh, this is good.
Rush Limbaugh and the Two Minute Hate.

The public, as evidenced by their most popular television shows and rock concerts, has a taste for idols. Blindly following a leader is easier and more comfortable than thinking for oneself. Debating about alternative views, which is what being a true republican entails, is too much of an effort for most people and is detested by liberal leaders — who at heart are elitists and sycophantic monarchists who have just crowned their king.

      Ditto, to that.

  3. Hey, Nick. What do you think of Limbaugh’s offer for a one on one, no teleprompter debate with the Messiah?
Inside, and not very far inside, every liberal knows Limbaugh would tear him up. Already, it is pretty obvious what a dim bulb he (barack) is. O’s thugs attacked Limbaugh, a private citizen, by name, but they sure didn’t respond to his very public call for debate. funny stuff……now it turns out one of those thugs, carville, said the same thing about Bush. hmmm. less and less high ground available. Kinda like a tax cheat as treasury secretary.
