What is interesting to me is that many of the founding fathers were agnostics. Even so, the principles expressed in the constitution and the Bill of Rights reflect religious beliefs by all religions. In fact, in a 1797 treaty it states: The United States of America is in no sense founded on the Christian religion." AND It is no more a Christain nation than it is a Jewish or Muslim one."
