A 7-month old child, being taken care of by his loving, gentle old grandmother in San Antonio, TX.
Her sweet, innocent baby was hungry, so she went to the kitchen to get him a bottle. For the 2 minutes that she stepped away, the baby was left alone with her beloved, gentle, wouldn’t hurt a fly family pets.
Two amazingly sweet, loving dogs who had never before harmed a fly. In fact, they were famous for how much they “loved children.”
So what could possibly go wrong? Any guesses as to what type of dogs these were?
SAN ANTONIO — A 7-month-old boy has died after being attacked by two pit bull dogs belonging to his grandmother in San Antonio.
Police Chief Bill McManus says the grandmother was getting ready to feed the boy Tuesday morning and went to her kitchen for his bottle. When she returned her dogs were attacking the baby.
The woman got a knife and stabbed one of the dogs, and got the child away.
The chief says the dogs then attacked the grandmother before she managed to get them outside.
Police killed the dogs in her backyard.
Authorities said the child was dead at University Hospital. Police said the grandmother was being treated at the hospital.
Again — it should be illegal and criminal to own pit bulls in the same home where children live.
Heard this before. “Why I just don’t know why he would do such a thing, he was just the most loving, gentle dog”…

They are truly not animals that anyone should have in their home. Not only did they kill the baby but they attacked her also. What a heartache for the mother of that baby. My heart goes out to her.
At least the cops knew what to do with these worthless animals.
Here is a report with a few more details, including a photo of the outside of the home where the dogs were shot and killed. One dog is visible lying next to the concrete steps in the foreground. Upon arrival at the home, paramedics were unable to go inside to render aid until the police arrived and shot the dogs.
One of the dogs had previously bitten another child in the face. Therefore, it is unbelievable that these dogs were allowed to remain in the same house with ANY child, let alone a completely defenseless baby.
Neighbors said they were not surprised by the attack at all and instead expressed surprise that it took so long for a fatal attack to occur. The dogs were observed to be kind toward the grandmother, but were absolutely vicious toward anyone else.
God bless that poor defenseless baby, Izaiah Gregory Cox. 7 months of age is such a precious stage. It is simply heart-rending to imagine just how much pain and fear he experienced at that tender age, along with the the fact that he was unable to put up even the smallest amount of resistance.
Yip, the idiot across the street has a pitbull now, I guess the two rottweilers in the petsmart kennel in his backyard (that I have never seen out of the cage) are not enough to make him feel like a real man. It is just a matter of time before there is an incident.
