  1. Some bad news for you tea baggers. Looks like Hannity and Eye of Newt will have to find another cause to pimp out.

    • Mohamed, always looking for a way to needle those that threaten his little socialist utopia.
Be sure and check the news after tomorrows tax day tea parties, weenie-boy. Your leftard leaders are already having conniptions about it.

  3. Despite attempts to make the teabag “movement” appear organic, the principle organizers of the local events are actually the lobbyist-run think tanks Americans for Prosperity and Freedom Works. The two groups are heavily staffed and well funded, and are providing all the logistical and public relations work necessary for planning coast-to-coast protests:

    – Freedom Works staffers coordinate conference calls among protesters, contacting conservative activists to give them “sign ideas, sample press releases, and a map of events around the country.”

    – Freedom Works staffers apparently moved to “take over” the planning of local events in Florida.

    – Freedom Works provides how-to guides for delivering a “clear message” to the public and media.

    – Freedom Works has several domain addresses — some of them made to look like they were set up by amateurs — to promote the protests.

    – Americans for Prosperity is writing press releases and planning the events in New Jersey, Arizona, New Hampshire, Missouri, Kansas, and several other states.

This type of corporate ‘astroturfing‘ is nothing new to either organization. While working to promote Social Security privatization, Freedom Works was caught planting one of its operatives as a “single mom” to ask questions to President Bush in a town hall on the subject. Last year, the Wall Street Journal exposed Freedom Works for similarly building “amateur-looking” websites to promote the lobbying interests of Dick Armey, the former Republican Majority Leader who now leads Freedom Works and is a lobbyist for the firm DLA Piper.

Americans for Prosperity is run by Tim Phillips, who was Ralph Reed’s former partner in the lobbying firm Century Strategies. The group is funded by Koch family foundations — a family whose wealth is derived from the oil industry. Indeed Americans for Prosperity has coordinated pro-drilling ‘grassroots‘ events around the country.

    Survey says…bullshit!

    • Mohamed, Mohamed, Mohamed, that cabal of islamo-leftist at Think Progress(their acronym tp is so perfect) are the one’s promulgating this story. Knowing you, you did the copy/paste thingie from their site.
You are such a Marxist tool.

  4. Looks like opponents of the Employee Free Choice Act are going to try to use the much-ballyhooed “Tea Parties” as a way to get a leg up in organizing against the measure.

Now the Workforce Fairness Institute, a leading opponent of EFCA, is set to blast an email out to hundreds of thousands of people on its list encouraging them to go to “Tea Parties” on April 15th, the big “Tea Party” day, and speak out against the measure.

The email asks recipients to attend as “WFI Tea Party Captains”

    Save the rich!!

  5. Ironic that Pat is calling out people on distorting the truth, when he was caught in a bald-face lie about a lesbian daughter.

  6. Here is a report from the Bureau of Public Debt of the annual federal debt outstanding at the end of the last 8 federal fiscal years:

    09/30/2008 $10,024,724,896,912.49
    09/30/2007 $9,007,653,372,262.48
    09/30/2006 $8,506,973,899,215.23
    09/30/2005 $7,932,709,661,723.50
    09/30/2004 $7,379,052,696,330.32
    09/30/2003 $6,783,231,062,743.62
    09/30/2002 $6,228,235,965,597.16
    09/30/2001 $5,807,463,412,200.06
    09/30/2000 $5,674,178,209,886.86

To anyone with an ounce of common sense, it’s obvious what’s going on. Republican/conservative rank and file are protesting because they are out of power and their leadership is terrible. But they aren’t protesting spending; they are protesting the Democratic Party’s governance. And that is fine. But please, don’t tell me it’s about spending or debt. If that were the case, you guys should have taken to the streets years ago.

    • To anyone with an ounce of common sense

Well, we all know that excludes you, Mohamed.
Your dear leaders at the Huff-N-Puff haven’t armed you with a very strong argument. Instead of just looking at what that liberal blog posts, you should have gone to the source they cited, and scanned the info for yourself, and then taken a moment to link the dates with actual events that were occurring during that time. I know that is asking a lot from such a dim bulb as you.
So today the public debt is the liberal talking point, and not the national deficit. Could it be the liberal cabal doesn’t want anyone to look at that, what it was during the years preceding 2008, and it’s projection for the next ten years? To any reasonable person, that is clearly the case, and is the real reason conservatives are engaged in protesting the out of control spending that the donk Congress, and jackass POTUS are pursuing.
Calling what is going on in D.C. Generational Theft, is the most accurate description.
Just like liberals, shift the goal posts, when the facts don’t match the liberal myths.
