A little Wednesday morning humor:

Where Swine Flu really comes from

Where Swine Flu really comes from

Listening to the Jeff Ward radio show on the drive home yesterday (drove my truck to work for the first time in a long time), he mentioned a high-ranking Israeli official who was complaining about the name “Swine Flu”.

He recommended they call it “Mexican Flu” instead:

JERUSALEM (AP) — The outbreak of swine flu should be renamed “Mexican” influenza in deference to Muslim and Jewish sensitivities over pork, said an Israeli health official Monday.

Deputy Health Minister Yakov Litzman said the reference to pigs is offensive to both religions and “we should call this Mexican flu and not swine flu,” he told a news conference at a hospital in central Israel.

You can’t make stuff up that’s this good.

It’s rumored that President Obama, not wanting to offend anybody intentionally, agreed to a compromise with Mr. Litzman to call it the “Wetback Flu”.

  1. nice…all the PC folks are probably going crazy over the use of the word “Mexican”.

    from Canada – Canadian
    from Cuba – Cuban
    from Mexico – Mexican
    from America – American

I really dont see what the fuss is. How the hell did we end up with this PC shit anyway?

  2. Who knew one developed “beer goggles” at such a young age?
