Last week while debating Cliff May on “what is torture”, Jon Stewart blurted out a typical (and growing) Lefty belief that President Harry Truman was a war criminal for dropping atomic bombs on Japan (Hot Air has the complete video of May and Stewart).
Which is only one reason sane people don’t take anything Jon Stewart says seriously.
Now, somewhat to Stewart’s credit, he backed away from that stance and apologized:
And I may have mentioned during the discussion we were having that Harry Truman was a war criminal. And right after saying it, I thought to myself that was dumb. And it was dumb. Stupid in fact. So I shouldn’t have said that, and I did. So I say right now, no, I don’t believe that to be the case. The atomic bomb, a very complicated decision in the context of a horrific war, and I walk that back because it was in my estimation a stupid thing to say.
In case Stewart (or you) are wondering exactly why Stewart’s claim that Truman was a war criminal was such a stupid thing to say, make sure and watch this outstanding video report from Pajamas TV.
It’s long (16 minutes), but brilliant.
It is perhaps the most soundly researched and thought out fisking of a Liberal’s idiotic talking point, that there is absolutely no way that Jon Stewart would ever invite Bill Whittle on his show to debate it. Or likely anything else for that matter.

stewart has always been nothing but leftist politics in the guise of comedy. He specializes in indoctrinating the fence -sitters.

Did you notice, after apologizing for insulting a Democrat President, he finishes off by taking a swipe at a Republican President?
