Ms. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) is an Elitist Asshole

In the military, we are taught to address all civilians by “Sir” or “Ma’am”.

It’s a title of respect and deference. In fact, the military standard becomes so ingrained in you, I still respond to everybody with “Yes Sir” or “No Ma’am.”

If Ms. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) knew anything about the military (other than how much she loathes it and all it stands for), she would be honored and humbled to have a General in the United States Army refer to her with a respectful “ma’am”.

Instead, while questioning General Michael Walsh during a committee hearing, Ms. Boxer — who, from this day forward, I will never refer to as “Senator” again, because I don’t think she’s earned it or deserves the respect — decided to rudely interrupt the General’s answer to one of her questions to demand that he really respect her.

From Breitbart.TV:

Freak’n low-class, arrogant, self-important, elitist bitch.

Ms. Boxer is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than herself.

Men like General Michael Walsh.

I wish Gen. Walsh would have continued to refer to her as “Ma’am” — just to watch her freak out and go batshit crazy. She probably would have stormed out of the room cursing. Or crying. Likely both.

It would have been nice if he’d simly looked down at his chest full of medals, and remark,

No ma’am. You didn’t work hard to earn anything. You simply won an election. These medals were earned with real sacrifice, blood, sweat, devotion, and honor. Things you wouldn’t know anything about. In the military, our standard of address is “Ma’am” or “Sir”, so I’ll continue to address you in the manner that has served this Army for 234 years, thank you very much. Now, what was your whiney assed question again, ma’am?

Or, as a commenter at Breitbart suggested:

Well, another opportunity missed. He should have said, “Gladly Ma’am.” or, “Certainly Senator. I’m more comfortable with that anyways. Ma’am is gesture of respect. Senator is a job title.”

Of course he didn’t respond that way. Because, unlike Ms. Boxer, he has the class and respect of an officer and a gentleman.

    Wouldn’t…Ms. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) is a self-annointed Elitist, with a malfunctioning Asshole for a mouth…be a tad more accurate?

  2. Armed Forces protocol is to use either sir, ma’am or Senator when addressing a Senator.

  3. As Mark Twain said, “Good breeding consists of concealing how much we think of ourselves and how little we think of the other person.” It sorta fits, although in Gen Walsh’s case, it’s not what he thinks of himself, but what he has earned with every ounce of his being. God bless him.

Everytime someone in the military has ever referred to me as “Ma’am”, I always felt a sense of humility/ gratitude.

  5. Hmmm since she wants to be called Senator are we sure she’s a ma’am? She sure gives women a bad reputation.

  6. The General should have replied, “No problem Ma’am. I’ll refer to you as Senator, and you will refer to me as General!”

  7. If there was ever a women who permanently deserves to be call “bitch” it is Bitch Boxer.

It is not just military protocol that demands “sir” and “ma’am”, but it is my entire East Texas upbringing. All my life I have been taught that “sir” and “ma’am” are the proper way of addressing all individuals. I also still address people as “Mr.” and “Mrs.” To this day I still have problems addressing the parents of my lifelong friends by their first names because I grew up saying “Mr.” or “Mrs.” These simple terms of courtesy and respect are things I have tried to instill in my children.

Despite my upbringing I have no problem addressing the person who was elected to one of the senate seats from California as “bitch”. In fact a much stronger word starting with a “c” comes to mind!

  8. Even from her view point, it is certainly acceptable to be addressed interchangeably as ma’am and senator. She is just acting like a snot.

  9. I love the end of that clip when the General says “Yes Sir” in response to her request. He probably should have just gotten up and slapped her!!

  10. This was nothing less than a public dressing down of the military meant to “take him down a notch” and to diminish him to others in attendance of the senate hearing I’m sure. What the dumb cow from Cali doesn’t know is that the General Officer was being extremely respectful of her rank. In fact he might have put himself in the position for a reprimand from his superior if he had not address the small minded senator from California as “Ma’am”. It burns me up.

  11. What I don’t understand is how Barbi continues to get re-elected.

She is from ultra-liberal Marin county, and obviously the folks there think she is awesome. But is the entire state of California that stupid? Apparently so.

  12. This pea-brained, elitist slug forgets that she was elected to work for the people and not the other way around — what arrogance! The only way to get respect is to earn respect; something she will never accomplish.

  14. How do people like this get in office?! Seriously, she is an embarrassment to all women! Ma’am was way to much of a compliment for her anyhow, I say we refer to her as “little missie”.
