They might as well sell home abortion kits on the same aisle as this new product:

A new test to reveal the gender of a fetus in early pregnancy has sparked a row over whether it will lead to sex-selection abortions.

The American-designed IntelliGender test kit, which can be used from eight weeks after conception, went on sale in Australia last month. Its Australian distributor hopes to launch it in New Zealand within a fortnight.

David Portnoy, managing director of Melbourne-based Early Image, said yesterday that he was negotiating with health products companies Douglas Pharmaceuticals and API to supply the kits to New Zealand pharmacies.

He expected they would sell for about $125.

Because for every parent who says they just want to know the gender early so they can get their gender-specific shopping and decorating done early…there will be 5x (yeah, I just made up that number. So what?) that number of parents who say, “Shit, we already have a girl and really wanted a boy this time…so, pick up the phone and call 1-800-ABORTION.”

Hell, they might as well just package home abortion kits in the same box.

  1. Margaret Sanger must be pleased to know eugenics is now available over the counter, while she is roasting in Hell.

  2. It would be interesting to see what happens if ever a genetic link for sexual preference is discovered and a home (homo?) test kit is marketed.

  3. Wouldn’t it be funny if it was wrong?! Let’s say you go through all the trouble and money of setting everything up for a girl or boy and it comes out the opposite LOL. I see a lawsuit coming. Another wasteless product to tie up our legal system. Oh brother.
