I missed the latest “historical” speech on the Obama Apologize for America tour, you know, ’cause I have a job and was working to pay taxes to support the 40-something percent of Americans who don’t pay any income tax.
So I’m slogging through the text of his speech now, and my initial impression is “feh.” Color me unimpressed.
From his historical revisionism with regards to Israel and the Arab world’s contributions to modern art, literature, and music to his persistent view of how badly the West has mistreated the Islamic world — it was what I pretty much expected.
But this one paragraph really grabbed me and compelled me to write about this speech that I was otherwise just going to ignore:
So I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed. That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn’t. And I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.
Uh, I’m pretty sure that is not one of your responsibilities, Mr. B. Hussein Obama. You see, here in the United States, we have this fantastic thing called freedom of speech. At least for now.
This almost sounds like a forthcoming attack on the first amendment in the form of new anti-Islam hate speech laws.
The only problem with stereotypes, Mr. B. Hussein Obama, is that they are more often than not formed by and firmly grounded in truth and reality.
So let me get started, Mr. B. Hussein Obama — I think Islam is nothing but a sick death cult. It is not a religion. Of peace. Of tolerance. Or of anything else. It’s a fanatical cult that is still stuck in the 7th century, and is absolutely incompatible with our country’s culture, values, and way of life. It stands in stark contrast to our way of freedom.
So, there you go Mr. B. Hussein Obama — a starting place for you to start fighting against negative stereotypes of Islam. Wherever they appear. Which happens to be right here in my living room in Austin, Tx. So bring it on Mr. B. Hussein Obama.
Let’s fight out it out, bitch.
__________
What did you think of the speech? Anything good stand out to you? What troubled you the most (you know, other than Obama siding with Hamas and Hezbollah in their quest to anhilate Israel)? Overall impressions?

Of course, this was what everybody was talking about, on radio and tv.
I only listened to snips, and usually turned those off. His speaking style and voice, are as annoying as any I’ve ever heard.
I did hear and read some complaining about his using the tired liberal equivocation of the Holocaust with the Phakestinians. This is the same crappola that the socialist academics have been spreading for thirty years, and is not a real world view, but an anti-Semitic one.
The Arab countries want Phakestine to remain an open wound, as a tactic to eliminate Israel.
Why hasn’t there been the outrage about Egypt controlling Gaza from 1948-1967? Where was the “intifada” over that?
Why is it the people living in the West Bank were Jordanians when they went to bed one night, and woke up the next day to discover they were now Phakestinians?
Two state solution? Yeah, there should be Trans-Jordan, and Israel, with no Arab Muslims allowed in Jewish land, unless they are approved and want to be citizens.
B-HO wants to make his life’s work into fighting defamation of islam? Fine, quit the office you are so clearly unqualified for, and join Jimmuh Cahtah in his adoration of the ME and its 7th century view of the world. If he wants to try and perpetrate the noxious proposal rattling around in the UN about no defamatory or derogatory language about any religion on us, go ahead and try. Even your radical leftists friends, who are having serious doubts about you anyway, will join others in opposing you.
In a similar vein, these asshole liberals are collectively pissing on D-Day and its vets:

Krauthammer kicks B-HO’s butt.…again.
How about hugo chavez standing up there and saying American women have the right to wear the burka? He left out that most arab women don’t have the right to NOT wear the burka. Did I say Hugo chavez?, sorry, I meant barack hussein obama.
His comments about women and the hijab were insane. And why didn’t he say something about the Egyptian bloggers who were sentenced to prison for blogging about, gasp, democracy?
Anytime the Israelis have offered to make huge concessions in land in the west bank, 95% and 97%, the arabs have rejected it. They returned Gaza and got 5000 missiles and mortars for it and a kidnapped soldier. Where is the effin UN demanding that Shalit be treated according to the GC?
The people on that blog should stay away from WW2 history. What a bunch of idiots! The soviet people’s sacrifice was so large because Stalin and his minions were so cruel and callous with the lives to their own soldiers. Hitler only did to the Russian people what Stalin would have done to the Russian people if he hadn’t been distracted by Hitler.
I don’t think there’s much that B. Hussein O. can do to fight negative stereotypes of Islam.
Muslims, on the other hand, could make tremendous strides in that area. Chiefly by exercising some self-restraint when it comes to blowing things up and cutting people’s heads off.
We are soooo f%@!ed.
My former co-worker was a Muslim. He was always helping me out on projects and paying for lunch and stuff.
Can you say “sleeper cell”?!!
This blogpost is absolutely fabulous. Absolutely right on him scaring amercans to silence exactly like the UN thing about “blasphemy”.
Robbie, here’s my take:
#1: he’s a lousy historian. He complained about colonization, yet American has never colonize any Muslim nation.
#2: He mentioned Islamic women have the right to wear the hajab, but never said that they should also have the right to refuse to wear it.
#3: He pretty much threw Israel under the bus. Wonder how all those Florida Jews feel now? Or are they too busy playing bridge?
#4: He quoted a Sura but left out the major part of it that says the killing of anyone except in retaliation for murder was wrong, is only applicable to (tah-dah) Jews. Muslims are not bound by any such rule. The Sura goes on to say that it is legitmate to kill anyone who defies Allah (Islam). He cherry picked on his quotations of the Quran.
#5: It was basically a pandering to the Arabs and another one of his “it’s all America’s fault” speeches. To compare the victims of the Holocaust to Palestinians, stepped waaaaaaay over the line.
#6: And why is no one talking about the little moustache he was sporting. One could ask if this was his way of letting the radical segment of Islam know he is coming out of the closet due to their belief in facial hair.
He needed to be firm and tell those Arabs that they needed to clean up their act and reform their cult. He didn’t.
Barack Hussein Obama is a goatfucking piece-of-shit Muslim.
Fuck you, Barack Hussein Obama.
And if the press wasn’t so intent on giving him blow jobs 24/7 they would have asked if the reason why his wife didn’t accompany him on this trip was because of all those rights women have over there.
