The Brooksville, Florida City Council has approved (by a 4-1 vote) to impose a new dress code for all city employees.
The new policy requires employees to adhere to” strict personal hygiene,” including the use of deodorant. I have no problem with that — though I don’t think I’d want the new job of City Underarm sniffer, charged with enforcing this new policy.
But the job I really wouldn’t want is enforcing the city’s new Underwear policy. As in, all city employees are now required to wear underwear to work.
I’m not quite sure how you enforce that policy without forcing an employee suspected of being in violation of the policy to strip down. I foresee law suits in the future.
Perhaps the city will follow B. Hussein Obama’s example and appoint an Underwear Czar to the city task force.
