Ah, when identity politics collide…
Barbara Boxer is an idiot. But this video is priceless, watching both of these useless tools go after each other:
Ed at Hot Air:
I just love it when white politicians set themselves up as arbiters of racial authenticity, especially when they try to scold minorities for drifting off the political reservation. It belies a “soft” bigotry, if you will, when Barbara Boxer assumes all black people think the same and hold the same opinions — or even worse, that they should.
I did notice that several times during the video, Mr Alford responds to Boxer with the very condescending “Yes Ma’am”, but unlike General Michael Walsh, she didn’t interrupt him and demand to be called “Senator”, because dammit…she earned it.
UPDATE — Breitbart.tv has a follow up interview with Harry Alford: “Never Have I Heard Such A Racial Slant Directed Towards Me In All These Years.”
Also, Mr. Alford notes that General Walsh emailed him right after the testimony with the message, “Go get ‘em.”
Why can’t all minorities understand that white liberals know what’s good for them? Why do they have to get all uppity and think differently? Further, why would a black man want to rely on facts instead of his empathy?
It’s always amusing to watch liberals – particular white liberals – get all huffy when someone who is of a minority race wanders off the liberal plantation. It’s as if you can’t be authentically black or Hispanic or what have you unless you also buy in to liberal dogma.
If you doubt this…then go read the comments section at the liberal stink hole “Think Progress” (which is neither).
