That's OK, Ben, I'm not smiling either.

That's OK, Ben, I'm not smiling either.

When B. Hussein Obama was elected President, normally very smart guy Ben Stein remarked on CBS that he “couldn’t quit smiling.”

Well, 7 short months into the most disastrous Presidency in history, Ben is joining a growing trend of folks who voted for Obama or those who were “thrilled” to see him elected but are now waking up to the reality of our nation’s first affirmative action President:

The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith.

Guess what, suckers? He’s everything the Right tried to warn you about and more.

They ignored his anti-white writings in his books. They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright.

They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student. They ignored his ultra-left record as a “community organizer,” Illinois state legislator, and Senator.

The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar.

Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth. Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East, way beyond naïveté, all the way into active destruction of our interests and our allies and our future.

The American people have already awakened to the truth that the stimulus bill — a great idea in theory — was really an immense bribe to Democrat interest groups, and in no way an effort to help all Americans.

Make sure you go and read the entire article at the American Spectator. And the comments too.

Ben Stein has woken up. When will the rest of you?

  1. Smart? More like another phony asshole. I can understand young people being gullible and easily susceptible to peer pressure, but not someone Ben Stein’s age. Shame on him.

  2. Let me add, it’s not just that he voted for the doofus but that Stein had to know the harm Obama would do to this country. He just didn’t give a shit and voted for him anyway.

  3. I don’t see where Stein states he voted for Obama in the American Spectator article. Nor, do I find any reference to him doing so on the internet. However, I do see where it is alleged that he endorsed Franken, so, who the hell knows what is up with him.

  4. I’m not certain I feel Ben Stein voted for Barry. Everything I’ve read about Stein is that he’s very right leaning and incredibly smart. He isn’t any “phony asshole” as “anonymous” stated.

    • If he voted for Obama, he is indeed a phony asshole. Plus, how do you explain his endorsement of Frankin?

  5. Seeing as Stein is an outspoken proponent of intelligent design, I don’t feel obliged to take anything he says or does seriously.

  6. Racists

    • Takes one to know one Mohammed.

Just because a person dislikes another person’s views does not make a racist. You give me a quality conservative that is another ethnicity than my own and I will vote for that person.

It will be a cold day in hell before I vote for a Librat no matter what ethnicity!!

  7. Well, at least he has come to his senses. It is tempting to think that BO’s approach to Israel might have kicked off BS’s soul searching.
People in this country have sought someone else to tell them what they think for so long that they have forgotten how to think for themselves. It is a confusing world out there, full of misinformation, oversaturated in media, and entrenched interests that seek to corrupt. I believed it when I wrote him in on the Presidential Ballot, and I believe it now. Ron Paul would have been the right man for this particular chapter in history and might have saved the country by throwing a wrench in absolutely everything.
