The Death of California

Iowahawk, brilliant as usual:

LOS ANGELES – Millions of fans from around the globe gathered along Sunset Boulevard to pay final respects to California today, as a slow moving funeral procession transported the eccentric superstar state’s remains to its final resting place in a Winchell’s Donuts dumpster in Van Nuys. The self-proclaimed ‘King of Pop Culture’ died last week at 160, in what coroners ruled an accidental case of financial autoerotic asphyxiation. The death sent shock waves across the world and sparked an outpouring of grief by rabid fans.

Make sure to read the entire piece (h/t to my friend Daphne on Facebook).

California is being kept alive by respirators, IOUs, and the fleeting hope for a Federal bailout.

Democratic economic policies, social engineering schemes, and truck-loads of crooked politicians (ahem, Pelosi, cough, cough, Boxer…) have turned the Golden State into the Fold’n state.

And anybody who claims that The Governator is a Conservative will be waterboarded.

The saddest part of it all? Obama wants to model the rest of the nation on the failed policies that have bankrupted California.

  1. The sickening thing is you KNOW the rest of the country is going to end up paying for their stupidity.

  2. I’m a 4th generation Californian, my ancestors settled in Mendocino Co before the Civil War (1852). This is NOT the state I grew up in.
