Afterward I ended up going to the Austin Independence Tea Party at the capitol building, hoping to run into some more genuine Texas patriots. I wasn’t (too) disappointed.
My wife and I decided to head out into the Texas Hill Country to spend the Holiday with the best people in our nation: small town Texans.
On more than a few occasions, I thought I should investigate who the people were that influenced the thinking of our Founding Fathers, but never fully engaged that investigation. It remained on a back burner, in simmer mode.
