No resolution to honor TX Soldier KIA same day as MJ death
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee: The Most Ignorant Imbicile in Congress (and that's really saying something)
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) has just submitted an idiotic resolution to honor Michael Jackson.
Ever since Cynthia McKinney lost her Congressional seat, Rep. Lee has stepped up to the plate to wear the crown of biggest freak’n idiot in the House.
As Michelle Malkin writes:
Therefore be it resolved that Jackson Lee’s Hollyweirdo declaration — which has been referred to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, is the stupidest House resolution ever.
Forget for a moment the “Why the hell is Congress bothering themselves with shit like this?” aspect of the resolution. Forget “What the hell does this have to do with foreign affairs?”
The resolution is honoring a man who was a perverted freak. A man who admittedly liked to share his bed with little boys. A man whose life was infinitely more tragic than his death.
This is the kind of man that Rep. Lee thinks is worth taking the time to write a looooonnng resolution to honor, and then wasting Congressional time (and thus tax dollars) to put on the floor?
I wonder if Rep. Lee is aware of the death of native Texan Sgt. Joshua Soto of San Angelo, who was killed in action in Iraq on the same day that Michael Jackson’s drug addiction cost him his life?
I wrote the following letter to Rep. Lee asking her why she hasn’t submitted a resolution to honor the life of Sgt. Soto?
Rep. Lee,
Your resolution to honor Michael Jackson is not only a waste of Congressional time, but a disgusting gesture to a sick man.
Are you aware that on the same day that Michael Jackson died, Sgt. Joshua W. Soto of San Angelo, TX was killed in action in Iraq?
Have you also introduced a resolution honoring the life and death of Sgt. Soto, a native Texas son?
If not, shame on you for placing the tragic life of a disturbed celebrity above that of the heroic life of Sgt. Soto.
This will be only one of the many reasons I contribute to any candidate who opposes you in your next bid for re-election.

I.Hate.These.People. Lee is a disgrace. As are most of the others. I’m ready to see us clean house next election. I’m losing hope quickly, really losing hope.
Hate is correct. We are supposed to be such a great country. Giving and recognizing giving humanitarians is a part of that greatness yet we only shed light on negative controversy even when it was not proven in our own court of law. We will be judged by a far higher authority with greater consequences so any punishment here is nothing. We fail to recognize the good in others and what multitude do you expect any one person to do for the world? What have YOU done lately for the world? your neighbor? And I don’t mean simply making an infrequent monetary donation. MJ may not be your first choice but who did you nominate? Were you inspired to do so prior to now? The focus should not be MJ beating you out and others as a “global humanitarian” when there can be more than one global humanitarian…Put up (productive action) or shut up. Peace.

Local (Houston) talk radio is having a field day…..laughing so hard they can barely speak. What an embarrassing spectacle!

Why must you use that phrase:”got something to say?”. It sparks off my thorough disgust w/ this awful woman, I cannot type her name, she makes me so sick, i never heard of her before and i only wish i never would have. Most of those people who “grandstanded” at that “parade of the sunglasses” were parasites and people who wanted exposure, brooke shields included, hell, she hardly knew him she was a very interverted 13yr. old who was not used to being around black people and was not comfortable in doing so! Every memory was made up. every single one. she was w/ him for the photo. period. I was just glad quincy jones refused to lower himself, he is the only black person who’s in reality about that freak.
The people in Houston need to vote that woman out, if she is wasting their representation by trying to pass such drivel.
She is from Queens…if that is true why would you Texans want someone that is unlike you representing you???? Did you also know she has introduced a bill to recognize the 40th anniversary of Intercontinental airport in Houston, that is wasteful also.
