Massa. I actually know (or knew) him. In the mid-90's he was my XO (that's Executive Officer, the second-in-command of my ship, for you landlubbers out there). Seldom does anyone ever like their XO, but of all the XO's I ever served under, he was perhaps the worst. He had no leadership ability at all, so he would compensate by making idle threats. No one on board, least of all the Chiefs, had the slightest respect for the man. I gotta say, I feel sorry for his staff. Good ol’ Eric J.J. Massa. I actually know (or knew) him.
