The Obamas off on another "unofficial", tax-payer funded family outing

Obama demanding what he didn’t have the common decency to give to Sarah Palin — privacy and respect for the children:

EDGARTOWN – The Obama White House, like administrations before it, has gone to great lengths to accommodate the press corps traveling with the president on his first official vacation in office. Staffers arranged for a filing center at a local school, assembled “pools’’ of reporters to tail the president if he goes out, and promised to brief the press daily.

But the real message to those hoping to cover the president’s vacation is: really, we wish you wouldn’t.

Unlike recent presidents, Obama has two young children, and the first couple is adamant that the girls be left alone. That means no approaching, cameras in tow, when Sasha and Malia are trying to get ice cream, or perhaps ride on the island’s famed carousel.

Aside from wishing a good time for all, in fact, the president had one clear message yesterday for reporters, said Bill Burton, the deputy White House press secretary: “The first family would very much appreciate if you respect the privacy of the girls while they’re out here on vacation.’

First of all — let’s go ahead and address the bolded (by me) statement there: Does that mean the family vacations to Paris, England, Yellowstone Park, etc. earlier this year were not official?

How perfectly charming and…well…elitist of them.

Since Obama has been in office I’ve taken exactly zero days of vacation. Which is probably pretty normal — unless you’re a Congress Critter off on your undeserved “summer recess.”

And then to the second bold phrase: I think this “reporter”, Susan Milligan, needs to go back and take Journalism 101 again. Perhaps she could uncover the facts that President Bush and President Clinton — our last two Presidents — both had young daughters while they were in the White House.

Now back to “leave us alone while we’re on vacation” — uh, sorry, but uhhmmmm…No. You’ve used your own children as political props and political barricades way too often for your own political gain, so you don’t just get to tell us to turn it off now.

Besides, Obama forfeited his girls’ privacy when he allowed his Chicago and State Run Mediaâ„¢ machines to trash Palin’s kids. Shame on the typical democrat double-standard; his request is obscene given what they did to Palin’s kids. His machine set the stage for his kids to be embarrassed the rest of their childhood.

And as for leaving the President and First Lady alone while their vacationing on our tax dollars — this is the same man who wants us to rat on each other, who data-mines our email addresses to send us political mail, the man who wants to control every aspect of our lives, now aksing us for a little privacy? It is beyond ludicrous.

I also have very little doubt the comliant and complicit State Run Media will honor Obama’s demands. Which means they can use Obama’s vacation time to go dig up more dirt on Trig Palin.
