No, Ms. Jackson Lee. What you have do do in Congress is listen to the people that you represent. You have a staff to answer your calls and take messages. You planned to be at the town hall during that time — to take a telephone call during while a consituent is trying to ask you a question shows your utter disdain and lack of respect for the people that you “represent.”
Remember, People should not be afraid of their governments. The Government should be afraid of their people. And it looks like Rep. Bishop is afraid. It also looks like it’s time for the people of Ny-01 to find themselves a new representative.

Had I had my own private insurance at the time, I would have used it and been in and out of the hospital in a matter of a week or two. Instead of 3 years via “government controlled health care.”
The Obama administration has made it perfectly clear: they will not tolerate any dissent when it comes to their complete take over of the health care system.
