57% of “Un-Americans” Oppose Single-Payer Health Care System

No, Nancy...Socialism is un-American

No, Nancy...Socialism is un-American

President Obama’s plan to take over the health care industry and impose a single-payer system is (sort of) documented in the 1018 page HR 3200.

Obama and Congressional Dems are trying to shove this POS legislation down our throats despite the fact that nobody voting for it has actually read it (nor, according to some Dems, should they even be expected to).

Dems are trying to shove it down our throats despite the fact that the Congressional Budget Office has determined that not only does the Dem plan not save money, but that health care costs will actually rise.

Dems are trying to shove it down our throats despite the fact that at least 57% of Americans oppose a single-payer system (to only 32% who support it).

Thirty-two percent (32%) of voters nationwide favor a single-payer health care system where the federal government provides coverage for everyone. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 57% are opposed to a single-payer plan.

Fifty-two percent (52%) believe such a system would lead to a lower quality of care while 13% believe care would improve. Twenty-seven percent (27%) think that the quality of care would remain about the same.

And Dems are getting scared and desperate that their quest to overthrow the health care system is on the bring of catastrophic failure. Pelosi and Reid are going so far as to call the millions of people who oppose Obamacare “un-American.”

Which is unbelievable.

Meanwhile, Democrats are showing their gutless weasel backbones by ducking face-to-face meetings with their constituents during their much undeserved summer recess.

  1. Having worked in Regulatory Affairs for a drug company, I just want to point out one thing. Any bill Congress passes will be converted to regulations by Health and Human Services as interpreted by AGENCY personnel and these regulations are what everybody will have to follow.

    It’s going to be brutal.

    • You are correct. The devil is in the details, and the details would be worked out later in the numerous federal commissions and agencies, after the broad outline is passed as legislation.

On this post I made a little while back, click on the chart to enlarge, and know this, each of the federal agencies and commissions on that maze that is colored, is a brand spanking new federal organ created by this disaster of a house bill. This would in no way be an improvement over what we have now, and the problem now is cost, not access or quality of service, except for Medicaire.

      • Good reference. I wish I had the time to read the whole thing but damn what good would it do?? I have a few comments on pages I did read that I intend to send to my “form letter response” congressman.

        It’s just so friggin frustrating.

        • I agree it’s frustrating, but to me it is more anger provoking. This is a power grab, plain and simple. If it were truly about health care reform, or as Nancy Piglosi now calls it, “health insurance reform,” then the congress critters wouldn’t exempt themselves from its coverage.
Better the frustration of fighting this thing now, than the frustration of trying to weave your way through the maze of agencies and commissions, when your health is failing, and they shuffle you around to deny you the care you need.

  2. Yep. People say X is not in the bill. Well, it will be. You can count on it.

I heard the donks made a deal with the pharmaceutical companies. They will spend a 150 million for advertising to get this piece of crapped passed, if Obama doesn’t negotiate lower prices for drugs.

    Nice sell out!

    • The pharmaceutical companies are given a ‘Chicago’ choice in this.
Either sign on, or be excluded from this and any future discussions involving your industry. B-HO pulled this on them and the AMA. Loss of access is a major weapon.

  3. Better for me if there’s no bill. Worse for you guys if there is no bill. So…please, just keep fighting it.
