This is a power grab, plain and simple. If it were truly about health care reform, or as Nancy Piglosi now calls it, "health insurance reform," then the congress critters wouldn't exempt themselves from its coverage. Better the frustration of fighting this thing now, than the frustration of trying to weave your way through the maze of agencies and commissions, when your health is failing, and they shuffle you around to deny you the care you need. This would in no way be an improvement over what we have now, and the problem now is cost, not access or quality of service, except for Medicaire. You are correct. Any bill Congress passes will be converted to regulations by Health and Human Services as interpreted by AGENCY personnel and these regulations are what everybody will have to follow.
