How much of a joke has CNN become? How far up President Obama’s ass is the original all-news-network? Well, it’s come to this — they are now fact checking comedy skits on Saturday Night Live in order to protect their Dear Leader from criticism.
Check out the video from CNN’s Wolf Blitzer (who, in fact, is NOT actually a wolf):
And they call this journalism? I didn’t know whether to laugh at them or just feel sorry for them.
Well, I didn’t know until I saw the #CNNFactCheck hashtag that has gone viral on Twitter today. Then I knew the right answer was to simply mock them. A sampling:
- JoeyBiden: Aurora Illinois is not the actual home of Waynes World. In fact the show doesn’t exist.
- BEades CNN: This just in: Hans and Franz not really weightlifters. Won’t “pump you up”
- mikesleap The Box With A Hole In It: What Is It For? – An Anderson Cooper 360 Special Report
- pinkascii: The Coneheads were not really from France.
- pinkascii Schweddy Balls are not all that tasty.
- Michael_Haz: A post-mortem biopsy confirmed that John Denver’s senses weren’t filled up like a night in a forest.
And a couple of my own:
- RobbieCooperATX CNN Breaking: Father Guido Sarducci not actually a Priest, though he may or may not have fondled some alter boys
- RobbieCooperATX CNN Breaking: Church Lady not particularly pious. Might not actually even be a lady.

OTHERS:
CNN breaks news – Saturday Night Live is not fair and balanced. Is this the new order – we can’t mock the President without being decried as racist and fact-checked by CNN? I can’t wait for 2013, when mocking President Sarah will be de rigeur.
Sycophancy you can believe in, right this way.
In other news, upon further investigation, CNN has discovered that those two guys weren’t “wild and crazy,” but merely socially awkward and Eastern European.
The same network that besmirched and caricatured Sarah Palin and labeled tea party protesters with the crude homosexual slang term “teabaggers” is falling all over itself defending Obama from … Saturday Night Live?
Heaven forbid that the average half-drunk late-night Saturday TV viewer be “misinformed” about our savior by a comedy show reminding them that health care’s “not done” (which it isn’t) and that Afghanistan’s gotten worse this year (which it has). Even if you want to clap Obama on the back for keeping his promise to send more troops, might it not perhaps be worth mentioning that he’s currently rethinking the entire “war of necessity” mindset on which he campaigned?
Moonbattery asks, “Does anyone remember any Bush sketch ever being fact-checked by CNN?”

I don’t see what the big deal is. Don’t you remember all those times CNN hurried to defend George W. Bush when SNL made fun of him?
Oh, wait. Never mind.
Or how SNL made the Palin parody say that she could see Alaska from her house?
Idiots still think she really said that.
When SNL was under fire last month for dropping an F bomb, I was surprised. Not that the F word was used, but that anyone still watched that show.
Like Chris Farley, NBC needs to take a speedball and die. CNN too.
CNN: CLAIM: Republicans accuse liberals of thinking Obama is a Messiah.
FACT: No one knows enough about God to say either way.

[...] Saturday Night Live is at it again — making fun of The Won. This time for winning the Nobel Peace Prize, which means that CNN must be firing up their fact checking team again… [...]
Remember when Bush wanted to change the Constitution to not allow Liberal thinking?
Can we make that a reality again?
F***ing libs.
