MyBelle At First White House State Dinner
Perhaps the reason the first state dinner was held in a tent, and not the magnificent White House State Dining Room, was to promote a more casual atmosphere.
Everyone knows arugula is a casual dining staple…right?

For a dinner billed as vegetarian, I think she snuck in a couple of ham hocks.

I loved Rita Rudner’s joke about hiring a vegetarian moving company… they were too weak to pick up the furniture.
