i didnt know cody that well but he was still family. i will always love him.untill now i havnt been able to say anything to anyone or write anything like this cause of my grief…i will miss you! <3

I was driving to work today on MoPac and saw this old Ford pickup with a message on the back window that said “all give some, some give all” and my eyes filled with tears when I saw that dates and realized how young Cody was. Your children are always your babies no mater how old they get. I’m truly sorry for your loss of such a brave son.

It was an honor to have ran the 235th Marine Corps 5K on 10 November 2010 in honor of Lance Corporal Stanley. I am serving under OEF. I searched LCPL Stanley’s name on the internet and came across this article and hope that it’s not out of line to email you.

Cody it was a pleasure serving with you brother. Today and always, i should remember the good times and the bad times you spend with me and your other brothers in arms. For the family of Cody, my prayers are with and may god give you strength to endure such pain. But I know that you are strong, because he was a strong Marine, and a very kind person.God bless you.

This is what memorial day is all about… Not just a day off. I remember the first time I met Cody I was trainning him to earn his mileage in order to earn his Humbee liscence. He told me about his home town in Texas and the drive was really long so we made conversation out of anything really. My old roomate was his vehicle commander and ge still takes it pretty hard. When we go out to bars we drink for him and my roomste sometimes swears someone looks exactly like him. RIP Cody Stanley and Semper Fi today is all about you and other service members who gave all to secure our nation and you will forever live through the Corps and you story.

My son just returned from Afghanistan serving in your sons unit 3/4 . He proudly wears the wristband the unit wears to honor his memory.My heart is truly saddened for the loss Of Cody. I type this with tears and pain in my heart for you. I trust the Lord will heal the loss and pain you and your family have suffered.
