UPDATE: Justice has been served. This sick animal has been put down.

_________

Unfortunately for justice, last night’s scheduled execution of Gerald Eldridge was postponed for 90 days.

The face of an evil animal

The face of an evil animal

If tonight’s execution of Danielle Nathaniel Simpson is delayed or stayed, whichever judge(s) is(are) responsible should be hanged (in effigy) — as Simpson is one of the sickest, most evil men on all of death row, and is more deserving of death than anybody I can remember in a long time.

Just a reminder as to what Simpson did to deserve the death penalty:

Danielle Simpson and two accomplices (his brother and his wife) broke into the home of 84-year-old Geraldine Davidson to burglarize her home.

Unfortunately for Mrs. Davidson, she returned home and cuaght the trio of thugs in the act. Simpson duct-taped her mouth and bound her hands and feet with more duct tape. Simpson then put a pillow case over her head and dumped her in the trunk of her own car.

Simpson and his family of animals then drove to several different locations before heading to the Neches River, where they dumped Mrs. Davidson in the river, tied to a cinder block.

Think about that for a moment: these animals gagged-and-bound an 84-year old woman, tied her to a cinder block, and dumped her — while she was still alive and undoubtedly terrified beyond imagination — into a river to drown. Now, imagine that it was your grandmother.

The kind of evil required to do that is unimaginable. And there is only one way to treat an animal (which is what Danielle Simpson is) like that — put it down.

From the Office the Attorney General:

During the sentencing phase of Simpson’s trial, the State introduced evidence that after Mrs. Davidson had been placed in the trunk of the car, Simpson appeared happy. As the group drove away from Mrs. Davidson’s house, Simpson said that white people deserved to die. Evidence was introduced that Simpson had been placed on ten-years’ deferred adjudication in 1999 for indecency with a child. Witnesses said he was a member of a Palestine street gang, which was linked to drug trafficking, assaults, robberies, and shootings. He also was implicated in several burglaries.

Some people are just so evil — the kind of evil that can never be “rehabilitated” — that the world is simply better off without them in it. Danielle Simpson is one such person. And tonight, shortly after 6:00 p.m. Huntsville time, the world will be just a little better off than it was before.

_________

UPDATE: Oh, and if your stomach can handle it — here’s the “final letter” that one of Simpson’s scumpal groupies wrote him over at PrisonTalk (a forum for exceptionally fucked up women of unimaginably low self-esteem and even lower self-worth)…

From Cindy:

Dear Danielle,

Tommorow is the day… November, 18th.
My thumbs are spinning so hard, hoping that you will get a stay.
Unfortunally that chance is so little…
Most likely you are gonna die tommorow.
Damn, who in this crazy world kills a father of 2 little children, with a clean conscience?
Legal murder, the most redicules thing in the world, but something the state of Texas seems to love.

I’m sorry you have to live in a world that is so corrupt and degrading.
I’m sorry that you had lived your last years in a cell, 23 hours a day.
I’m sorry that they treated you so damn cruel and unjust.
I’m so sorry that they treated you so bad that you wanted to die rather then live in the envoirment that you live in.
I’m sorry we didn’t had more time…. I’m so goddamne sorry……..

There’s not enough therapy or medication in the world to help solve the kinds of problems that Cindy has…

  1. Truely an animal….. the terror the victim went thru is unbelievable, and he appeared happy!

I think the same should be done to him, the needle isn’t good enough.

My heart goes out to the victims family.

    • I hope they got rid of that scum. The world would be really a better place if they did one a day, until they have cleaned up the trash at polunski

  2. They just drove her around and showed her off in the trunk of the car as if she was a trophy. And none of the people who saw her bound and terrified did an effin’ thing to help her. None. They can all go to hell. This is one of the more disgusting cases I’ve read.

    • There was a simular event where I used to live…. A college student was abducted by 2 or 3 black thugs, they beat the hell out her, raped her, bound and gagged her and showed her off to thier homeys, then they murdered her, in her own vehicle….. None of those tried to help her either, scum sucking leaches of society…. I lived 3 blocks from where it happened…. It could have very well been me…
The disregard for life today is disheartening…..

  3. I find it sad how u jump from site to site reading deathvow inmate penpals comments get a fucking life. Its their business. They’re not hurting you. In reality they’re still human beings. Find a new hobby.

    • We like the hobby of reading idiot’s guides to low self worth on pto. You have the hobby of keeping DR inmates like pets. To each their own …

    • This excuse for a human ceased to be such a humman being the day he murdered this elderly lady and at that time became a rabid animal. His death was too easy. He should have been dumped in the river with a motor block attached to his black ass.

  4. Aww poor Danielle – my heart bleeds NOT. Hope the injection messes him up good before the piece of crap has lights out. Bye bye scum

    • Hey, I agree totally. They should do the same thing to him that he did to that 84 yr old woman. He musta been a reallly tuff gang banger to have to do what he did to an elderly woman. I bet he wet his pants all day today.

  5. I think “Danielle” should be executed by drowning – a fitting punishment for his crime. Lethal injection is much too merciful for this piece of dogshit.

They should simply take him to a local YMCA swimming pool, tie him up with concete blocks attached to his feet, and throw him into the deep end.

Incidentally, what kind of clown hung a girl’s name on this sadistic bastard?

  6. Way to go Texas!! I pray that you speed through that execution list – another one tomorrow. Too bad it couldn’t beone everyday.

    • You “pray” hahhaha even worse sick ppl over the big lake. Hell you all sound like from another planet to me, wild wild west eh. Your country shouldnt be counted to the western civilised world, even russia is more ahead then you guys are.

  7. This just in.
    He’s dead, Jim.

    “I’m ready, ready.”

    …and you are gone!

  8. I will never forget that Danielle took my 12 year old daughter’s virginity, or this awful crime he and his wife and brother took part in. But, I never wished him dead… only to be punished by incarceration for the rest of his life. He was a good woman’s son and I know her heart aches. My prayers are with his family.

    • Good woman’s son? More like a teenager that got knocked up, was so ignorant she gave her son a girl’s name, was on welfare and popping out kids all her life.

      • Jennifer Simpson, testified that she pleaded guilty to Davidson’s murder and was sentenced to life imprisonment. At the time of Davidson’s murder, she was married to Appellant’s brother, Danielle. Jennifer testified that, on the morning of January 26, 2000, she, Danielle, and Edward “Pete” McCoy broke into Davidson’s house, while Davidson was out, in an attempt to steal money. When Davidson returned home, Danielle asked her for money, but Davidson stated that she had none. On Danielle’s instructions, Jennifer put tape across Davidson’s mouth, and Pete helped Danielle put Davidson in the trunk of Davidson’s car. The three stole forty dollars from Davidson’s purse and threw the purse and the contents of her car behind an old Wal-Mart, which was located between some apartments by a field. They also obtained and smoked some marijuana. Jennifer testified that the three spent the next few hours traveling to various towns and places in Davidson’s car. When they returned to Palestine, they parked the vehicle and walked to their house. 4 At approximately 3:00 to 3:30 p.m., they walked back to the car with Christina Walker, Pete’s sister. As Christina got in the car, she heard Davidson kick the trunk. According to Jennifer, as they were driving back by their house, Christina asked to be dropped off. Jennifer, Danielle, and Pete then went to the Swantz Inn to pick up Appellant. Jennifer testified that Appellant asked Danielle if he “[did] it,” and Danielle responded “yeah.” Then, Appellant got in the vehicle and they traveled to a Jack-in-the-Box. Jennifer was sent inside to get food, and Appellant followed her in later, telling her to hurry. Jennifer testified that Appellant was wearing an orange toboggan and a Green Bay Packers jacket at the time.

After getting the food, they drove to Wal-Mart where Appellant bought heavy gray tape. Jennifer testified that Appellant and Danielle also talked about a river. They drove the vehicle to a dead-end spot because Appellant wanted to see Davidson. All of them got out of the vehicle, and Danielle opened the trunk. According to Jennifer, Appellant took Davidson from the trunk and threw her “sort of roughly” on the ground. Appellant “flipped” Davidson over, taped her hands and mouth, and then wound the tape around her head. Once back in Davidson’s car, they went to an old house where Appellant found a cinder block and put it in the trunk. She believed Appellant began tying the cinder block to Davidson’s leg. Jennifer stated that she heard “something like [Appellant] hitting her.” Once back in the vehicle, Appellant told them that he had hit Davidson and that “he never liked white folks anyway.” Jennifer testified that, to her knowledge, neither she, Pete, nor Danielle had hit Davidson.

At that point, they went to the river. Danielle backed the vehicle up to the river, and he and Appellant got out. Jennifer pushed the brake and heard them “messing” with Davidson. Someone told Pete to get out of the car to get a stick, and Pete got out of the car. Jennifer believed she saw both Appellant’s and Danielle’s arms move as if they were throwing something. After they left the river, they took Appellant to McDonald’s and to the house of his girlfriend, Occtayvia Clewis. Jennifer said that throughout the next two days, Danielle attempted to avoid the police and she had sporadic contact with Appellant. She was taken to the juvenile detention center after she voluntarily agreed to make a statement.

Pete, the other accomplice witness, testified that he pleaded guilty to capital murder and was sentenced to thirteen years in the Texas Youth Commission. Pete was Appellant’s and Danielle’s cousin. Pete testified that he accompanied Danielle and Jennifer to Davidson’s house to steal money. Pete’s version of Davidson’s kidnapping and murder was similar to Jennifer’s, although he denied helping Danielle put Davidson in the trunk of her car. Pete testified that when they picked up Appellant near the Swantz Inn, Danielle opened the trunk and showed Davidson to other persons, including Appellant. According to Pete, Appellant was wearing a Green Bay Packers jacket and orange toboggan. After Appellant saw Davidson in the trunk and before he got in the car, Pete heard Appellant tell Danielle “let’s go kill her.” He testified, as Jennifer had, that Appellant took Davidson out of the trunk and “slammed” her on the ground and back into the trunk after “yanking” the tape around her mouth and legs. Further, Pete testified that Appellant hit Davidson again. Pete also heard Appellant hitting Davidson after he put the cinder block in the trunk.

Once they were at the river, Appellant told Pete to get out of the car and he did. Pete testified that he did not comply when Appellant instructed him to get a stick. He also testified that, once Davidson was out of the trunk, Danielle kicked her in the face and threw the cinder block into the water. Then, Danielle and Appellant together swung Davidson and threw her in the river. According to Pete, Davidson was moaning and kicking when she hit the water. Danielle went to look for more money in the area where he had thrown Davidson’s purse. There he threw out the trash in the car, including the Jack-in-the-Box bag. Danielle then took Pete home. According to Pete, he later made a voluntary statement that Danielle picked him up in a car. In his statement, Pete said that, after traveling to another town, he asked to be taken home when he discovered that Davidson was in the trunk. He was eventually arrested after further investigation revealed that he had not been truthful. Pete identified a Green Bay Packers jacket in evidence as Appellant’s and identified himself, Jennifer, and Appellant in the January 26 Jack-in-the-Box surveillance tape.

    • I’m sure most Americans are not as blood thirsty, cold hearted and vengeful as the majority of the people posting in this forum. Tho I have limited symphaty with the likes of Danielle N. Simpson, it serves no other purpose than revenge to put them down once you have removed them from your society by locking them up. Deserving or not.
Not that our penal system is that great. We are going too much the other way. Criminals here has better living conditions than elderly people who have spent a lifetime contributing in a positive way. A middle thing between ours and your system would be great.

      • GM — the problem with simply locking up monsters like Simpson is that they can still attack and kill their fellow inmates, prison staff, and law enforcement/legal staff that have to interact with them. They can also break out of prison.

Additionally, if we were to do away with the death penalty, the next thing the ACLU and the murderer lovers would go after is Life without Possibility of Parole, saying that’s too harsh and inhumane of a punishment.

        • Your SuperMax type prisons should do the trick in keeping staff safe. Strip them of all rights and lock them away in a cage with no contact whatsoever with the outside world for the rest of their lives. That might seem harch for some, but thats exactly what some crimes should qualify for. As for killers meeting their demise at the hands of another killer would I view as no tragedy.

However, I do see your point regarding some people wanting to “reform” every lowlife scumbag to society. We have that problem here. War criminals with the blood of hundreds on their hands are serving time here under conditions similar to upscale hotels, where they have the possibility of free education while actually getting paid salaries. Go figure. Google “Mullah Krekar” and see what kind leaches we have and how it’s handled by our own government. It’s sickening.

What promted me to write my first post is not symphathy for the inmates you execute, but the blood thirst in many of the posts here. To be honest, some posts here looks like they could have been written by the very people you want snuffed out. That’s kinda sad, because I’m sure none of you are like that…you seem just clouded with a hate and anger that I have no problem understanding. It’s sad, because to me it seems that the death penalty makes good people get vengeful and that can’t be good. It’s just another score for the scumbags you are exterminating. Having the luxury of viewing it all from a distance like I do I see good people getting infected by the same kind of thinking/attitude that put a needle in the arm of some of you in the first place.

I know you think you are a superior being, but so called “alternatives” to the death penalty that are illegal under our laws and Constitution are not really alternatives but just a waste of time and bandwidth. Go do your damn homework before pretending you’re an expert.

Having the luxury of viewing it all from a distance like I do I see good people getting infected by the same kind of thinking/attitude that put a needle in the arm of some of you in the first place.

Not much of a luxury because you can not see your own callousness and disregard for the murdered victims and their families and friends. People like you who obsess over murderers need help. Find another hobby.

        • Superior being? haha, where did that come from? I’m aware of that you can’t do what I suggestested due to your laws and constitution. And I never asked you to. My meaning was to make clear that I’m not here to defend people on death row. Sorry if that didn’t come out clear enough for you to understand it. English is not my first language.
I can not see my own callousness and disregard for the murdered victims and their families and friends? How exactly did you arrive at that conclution? For your information I know first hand how it feels to loose a friend in such a way.
If you disagree with what I’m writing, by all means educate me. But if you are just after attacing me personally by suggesting you somehow magicly knows anything about my self image, experiences or hobbies you can save yourself the effort because you won’t get a rise out of me by being dumb.
If you could manage to actually make an intelligent argument like for example Robbie Cooper who first commented on my post we could have a meaningful exchange of oppinions. But it seems you are more interested in regurgitating stupidities against anyone having a different oppinion than yourself and that is truely a waste of my time even tho it’s slightly entertaining.

        • It comes from your arrogance. And if you are aware of our laws and constitution, as you claim now, you wouldn’t have made such silly suggestions to begin with. And yes you are callous. You’re interest is in saving murdering thugs. You think that makes you a better person – it doesn’t. You people are just sheep. And nothing you have posted is intelligent, so spare me. No one’s interested in your opinions. Weenies object to the death penalty. We get it. None of you have ever come up with an intelligent or persuasive argument in defense of your opinions. You and your crowd are the ones who regurgitate the same old stupidities.

        • Ah but it doesn’t stop the violence they still have interaction with staff.

As for how your country deals with its criminals is up to you to change.

As for being “blood thirsty” I only want to see justice done. It was the perp that was blood thirsty in murdering my sister execution style as well as her boyfriend. The violence exhibited by these animals is unfathomable and taking them out is the only way to stop their violence.

        • You have absolutely totally conviced me. Finally I have seen the light. THANK YOU!!! You have opened my eyes. You are ofcourse 100% right in all that you have said so far. How could I doubt your words of wisdom. After all, I’m not even American so please excuse my arrogance, stupidity and narrow minded opinions.
I think I’ll move to Texas. I realize I’m not worthy of your valued time, but I wish we could meet so you could help me form good American values. Then, maybe, my life can be worth living. At least let me walk your dog, tend your garden or wash your car so that I can be near you to listen and observe. Then, if I someday manage to evolve into something close to that of a real American we could take a trip south to the border and hunt wet backs together.

Now, out of curiosity, what do you think I mean by that?

        • My previous post were intended for Anonyous, not BIG SIS.

          -violence
I’m sure your politicians could figure out a way to keep your staff safe.

          -my country
You are 100% right. We have a major job to do there. In my opinion, witch nobody wants to hear apparantly, if we were to implement 80% of how YOU deal with your crimimals we would be getting somewhere.

I didn’t loose a family member like you BIG SIS, but I lost a very dear friend. The difference between you and me is that I don’t need to see her killer dead to feel that justice has been served. I want him to suffer, no doubt. To live the rest of his life in a cell all alone. And pay for what he did. But he won’t. Not here. Not long, I’ll be meeting him on the steet when he’s out on leave from prison for the weekend. 7-8 years from now he’s a free man. And there won’t be a thing I can do about it. Trust me, I would be happy just to have him behind bars forever. So I think I can relate well to your point of view on how to deal with this type of criminals. I just don’t share it 100%. Probably because there is a different mindset here. Not nessecarily better, just different.

        • Yawn.

        • haha, best one yet Anonymous

        • GM, there is a significant cultural gap, and that exists from state to state in this country.
Texas has its own cultural identity.
Consistently over time, public opinion polls show the citizens of this state support the death penalty. That is based on a culture and history that would be impossible to explain in pixel form.
We are not bloodthirsty, we are a kind, generous and friendly people, that will not tolerate those who behave badly for long, and the most egregious behavior, murder, will not be tolerated at all.
For my part, I have traveled halfway around the world and back, living in another country for several years, but my heart has always been in Texas, even when my body wasn’t, and I always came back home when my wander lust was satisfied. I was also a policeman for many years, and have seen first hand the devastation people like Simpson have wrought on the innocent. I have looked into the eyes of evil, and it’s not a pretty sight. I believe that when a human crosses that forbidden threshold in committing murder, there is no turning back, and it will only be easier for them to kill again.
I’m not alone when I say this, that murderers must be removed from society, and pay the ultimate price of execution. Those are our rules, and if one is inclined to murder they know what the consequences are.
Come to Texas and murder, and we will kill you right back.
          It’s not complicated.
I am amazed how other countries coddle their worst criminals, but if that is what their citizens want, they can do what they want.
The same applies in how others view our system of justice.

        • No2Liberals – Can’t dissagree with anything you say there. It makes sense. I have also travelled around the world. Never to Texas tho. Closest was Florida. Different people, different cultures. It’s not always easy to understad some aspects of other cultures unless they are properly explained like you do here. Thanks

        • Even with all the security measures staff still gets assaulted, weather it be hit with body fluids or homemade weapons. Most of those animals have hepatits, aids or other infectious diseases.

The very fact that Hood breathes is to much for me, while my baby sister cannot. He whines about his conditions, that he is a victim. That pathetic piece of humanity doesn’t deserve to walk upon this earth as far as I am concerned. Let alone breathe! I have had more than a family member taken by murder and it wasn’t until the death of my sister that my opinion changed about the death penalty. I sat on the fence so to speak. Wasn’t against it but wasn’t for it. It is an individuals choice. My choice was made. Until one walks in my shoes they will never really understand.
As my friend N2l said if they kill once it is easier to kill again. In my case 2 good people were taken. The escalating history of this perps violence was even forcasted by psychologists.

        • So Hood feels like a victim in poor conditions? Yeah, I sure hope so. I hope he’s really miserable and scared. That medical staff had raised an alert about him and sosiety didn’t react to protect itself in time in addition to how long he’s had a legal sentence hanging over him makes everybody with any connections to him victims.Your family and friends and his own. Acually, the only one who is NOT a victim is himself.
Been thinking alot about what you have been saying…even what Anonymous said, and I don’t think I would be living very long in your community before I would become PRO death penalty myself. Tho death penalty might may have it’s disadvantages, there are many aspects that are quite appealing too. Especially the aspect of knowing once the killer is dead that he will never cause harm again exept from the smell if it takes as long to bury him as it took to get rid of him.

        • I say we ship all those lovable American deathrower’s to Norway and the Gitmo boy’s too since GM love’s murderer’s. Amazing how European’s always talk crap about American’s and our system of justice but sure don’t scream when we AMERICAN’S have to come and save – and by the way DIE- their worthless asses from German’s and Communist’s. Europe! The cesspool of Asia, located in the Middle East which ends in Norway.

  9. Your prayers should also be with the VICTIMS family, she was a good woman too and Im sure her families heart aches too.

    • Amen, Big Sis.

    • i greatly appreciate that, i was her great granddaughter and this has been a very difficult experience for all of us

      • God Bless you and your family.
I cannot fathom what this entire ordeal has been like for all of you.

        • As the family member who has lost a loved one to such violence I can fathom the feelings of the ordeal.

Talking about it here has helped me greatly. There are alot of awesome supporters here. I am glad that your family has finally recieved the justice so deserved, as for me I still await that justice.

Keep your loving memories close and try not to dwell on the heinous act that took her from you. Know that she watches over you from above.

      • I am the granddaughter of the victom’s brother. would like talk to someone from the victom’s family..

    • [Comment deleted by Robbie, because Chris can't help being such a giant douchebag.]

      • Sorry, chump, but it is you and you’re kind who has the orgasms over murderers/rapists/pedophiles. You live vicariously through their crimes the sick fks that you are.

  10. And on Wednesday, The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, in a highly unusual vote, recommended that a convicted murderer set to die Thursday for his part in the fatal shooting of Houston convenience store clerk have his sentence commuted to life in prison. The board’s action leaves the decision on whether Robert Lee Thompson, 34, lives or dies with Gov. Rick Perry.

    So whats up with this?

    • I have no idea. A couple of years ago, Perry commuted a sentence of a guy named Foster who was convicted under the law of parties. However, his reason for commuting it was because Foster was tried together with his co-defendant – not because of the law of parties.

Thompson was also tried under the law of parties. So, scumpals are demanding that Perry commute this one, too. Duh.

When the defendant says he wasn’t the shooter what he doesn’t say is that he robbed and shot the clerk in the gut while his codefendant shot another clerk while they were going out the door. The first clerk lived and the second clerk died.

Of course, the media is trying to make Thompson out to be some poor little lamb “I didnt’ pull the trigger, boo hoo hoo!” Additionally, what else the media doesn’t tell you is that Thompson had committed two other robbery murders within 24 hours of this one.

      http://www.oag.state.tx.us/oagnews/release.php?print=1&id=3161

      • Clemency denied.

It is hilarious how the media is reporting the facts of his case so deceptively. Who do they think they’re fooling? Only scumpals and weenies are so stupid to fall for it.

        • Oh, wait…it’s even worse than I thought: Thompson shot the clerk 4 times, shot at the second clerk 2 times, tried to shoot the first clerk a fifth time but had ran out of ammo, so then pistol whipped him. Clerk 1 survives, clerk 2 dies after being shot by the defendant, and Thompson goes on to murder two other clerks during robberies.

      • Re Foster- Yes you are correct ANNON Foster, but there is confusion over the foster case, hopfully you can enlighten me.
He was tried with his co-defendant,so the way i see it is, if both are guilty they get the same punishment, both should have been executed- but how can the actual shooter get 35-life, and the driver get the death pen. One commits first degree murder and gets 35yr, one who was at the scene but was not the shooter gets the d/p- isnt it judicery and legal loopholes like that- thats allows further appeals etc.

  11. My prayers are with both the families. The Davidson’s as well as the Simpson’s. Nothing Texas does makes a bit of sense to me.

  12. R.I.P. Danielle.

  13. This piece of crap does not deserve lethal injection. He needs to be put through the same hell as the poor 84 year old woman that he murdered. He is not a victim. He is a piece of shit, dog shit at that. Die MF….Die….Enjoy eternity in HELL. FU!

    • Don’t you find it ridiculous that they claim they are victims!?!

Victim of what? The justice system?
Hey asshole your a piece of shit that deserves what ever you get. You murdered, raped, robbed, took a live, played God in a sense. Execution is not murder for all you damn anti’s! It is the ultimate punishment for the dispicable deeds you did.

It seems that perps have more rights than those who are free.

The press forgets the victims of these horrible crimes, and make the perp victim…. IT’S SICKENING.

I still await justice after 20+ yrs.

      • Yea, he’s a victim all right. A victim of his own F–ked up head. Screw him. Thank God for Texas. Maryland has a pussy for a Governor.

  14. All these MF’s claim to be mentally ill. If so how come they come up with these elaborate plans to kill people. This MF needed to be tortured before they humanely kill him. I can’t imagine the fear that this 84 year old woman went through. Screw Danielle let him suffer. His lawyers should go to hell also.

  15. Five members of Davidson’s family, including her three adult children, witnessed the execution.

Davidson was a retired Palestine schoolteacher who volunteered as organist at her local church.

Two of Simpson’s sisters also witnessed the execution, in addition to a Herald-Press reporter.

Anderson County District Attorney Doug Lowe, former Anderson County crime victims’ coordinator Renee Moore and former Anderson County district attorney’s investigator Joe Willis were in Huntsville, supporting Davidson family members.

“I don’t get any pleasure out of the execution of Danielle Simpson,” Lowe said at a press conference following the execution. “…This was a case that deserved that punishment.

“He was a person who showed no remorse for his victim,” the district attorney continued, “and had many opportunities throughout the day to spare her life and didn’t.”

As they had in the days leading up to the execution, Davidson family members declined comment on Simpson’s execution.

“They felt like their mother had suffered enough indignity about how all this happened,” Lowe said.

Moore also spoke on behalf of the Davidson family.

“They were prepared for this,” Moore said. “They’re very strong people. This gives them an opportunity to move on from this point.”

    ….

During his trial, testimony showed that Simpson and three other Palestine youths kidnapped Davidson from her South Sycamore Street residence on Jan. 26, 2000 and paraded her around in the trunk of her vehicle before tossing her into the frigid waters of the Neches River with her hands bound behind her back and a cinder block tied to her ankles.

The youths were burglarizing Davidson’s residence when she arrived home during the late morning hours of that day, authorities have said.

Authorities have said eight-to-10 people at separate locations in Palestine and Grapeland were shown Davidson’s body in the trunk of her own car prior to her death, but did not notify police.

A passing motorist traveling on U.S. 79 between Palestine and Jacksonville notified authorities on Jan. 27, 2000 after observing a body in the river.

Testimony during Simpson’s trial indicated Davidson was alive at the time her body was placed in the river sometime during the night hours of Jan. 26, 2000.

Simpson’s co-defendants in the case included his younger brother, Lionel Simpson; his wife, Jennifer Simpson; and a male cousin who was 13 at the time of the murder and has completed his sentence.

Lionel Simpson, who was 15 at the time, was tried as an adult and is currently serving a “capital life” sentence, while Jennifer Simpson pled guilty after the start of her August 2000 trial in Cherokee County and was sentenced to life in prison.

Jennifer Simpson will be eligible for parole after serving 30 years of her sentence, according to Lowe.

  16. The operative word is ELIGIBLE! Hopefully they will never see freedom again. I know i would be at every parole hearing there was to detest the release of such an animal.

  17. It’s not right to mock someone’s letter to a person that’s going to die. No matter the circumstances if someone loves someone it’s often irrational and unconditional. And calling someone an animal is so uneducated, what he did is not animalistic, it’s not in the nature of animals to kill for no reason, that’s the nature of humans. Granted I hope the family of the victim can see that forgiveness is not always possible but something to strive for.

    • Instead of mocking that ridiculous letter, vomiting would have been the best alternative.
So murder is the human thing to do, in your world?
      /sick

    • One, it’s definitely right to mock this letter and the creep who wrote it. She is without any morals or ethics.

Two, Simpson was an animal and comes from a family of animals.

Three, can the forgiveness crap. No one has to forgive Simpson and it is not something to strive for.

    • An animal kills without morals, without caring, and animals can kill for no reason at all.
This guy killed without a reason – it was all for a sick game. People like him, we don’t need.

      The letter,
      I hope she gets help.
      I pray she does.

  18. i dont understand this world we live in.basicly we eat the same foods, have a vaule system to live by but it appears some people dont.if this country start letting the punish fit the crime. crime will cut down.this sorry excuse for a human being and all the rest involved should be beaten, gagged, road around and.ederly people need to arm themselves.go to the firing range and if some fool breaks in have an alarm system and a trained dog named killer.once that dog or alarm wakes you up shoot first and ask questions later.this thing who was impersonating a man should of been tortured with his pals. people are so evil and color or social statist have nothing to do with it.these dumb ass women who write these ass holes and marry them are just as sick.some dumb bitch married the knight stalker and another ted bundy.maybe they should of caught them on their murdering sprees.you wonder what are these people thinking.death penalty needs to be horrible for them. vanessa

  19. I live in Palestine. This was a terrible thing that happened in our community. She was a teacher at my highschool, and you can only imagine how horrible that was. She was thrown in the river not to far from a family friend’s deer lease. I was only a little girl at the time, but I watched the show about it called Wicked Attraction, they had a special episode on it, and it just made me cringe to see all of the familiar places they stopped to “show her off.” And to see the jack-in-the-box they stopped at. Uhhh, it’s terrible. He was a terrible individual. I think we should have a law that the murderer must die in the same way that he murdered. He deserved to be thrown in a freezing river and left to drown after he had been brutally beaten. They wouldn’t even give her her medicine. Also, everyone who knew of that murder are just as guilty as he is in my eyes.

  20. Nobody,

I am in Palestine, too… I looked up that episode on-line and I can’t quite expain the feelings I had as they showed the areas of town… I pray they never let Jennifer out of jail…

    • Me too. I can’t believe all of the people that saw her and didn’t say anything! I’d call the cops and beat the crap out of anybody that tried to show me something like that, not that I’d ever put myself around people that would.

  21. all of defendants should be executed….and if it wasn’t for this lame country’s so called wimpy, ignorant, inept, sexist, hypocritical, and severely lacking in common sense “justice system” they would be.
