Matt Taibbi --- Political Hack

I’ve written about the unhinged, biased “reporting” of Rolling Stone’s Matt Taibbi on several occasions.

That people believe him to be an objective practitioner of the craft of Journalism is a joke. In fact, Taibbi is second on my list of so-called “journalists” who I’d like to mule kick in the teeth (Keith Olbermann will forever be at the top of that list. This also moves Helen Thomas down to number three.)

I was thumbing through the November 12 issue (No. 1091) of Rolling Stone, where Taibbi has a published article on the demise of the Washington Redskins (How to Wreck a Team): “The NFL’s worst owner, Daniel Snyder, has ruined the Redskins, one of the most storied franchises in sports”

Hmmm…a sports story from the political-hack reporter? Ok, I’ll give it a shot…maybe he’ll write about sports without letting his unhinged Liberal idiocy filter into and color the story…

Who am I kidding? I knew he couldn’t do it.

Taibbi the Racist

In a call out box, Taibbi pens a “Memo to the Players Union” regarding the controversy surrounding Rush Limbaugh’s bid to purchase the flailing St. Louis Rams franchise. Not only does Taibbi let his personal disdain for Conservatism show through, but he also flaunts his inner-racist:

The Rams already suck so mightily, that the addition of an owner who thinks that black quarterbacks are overrated just might make for the most entertainingly awful sports drama ever — a situation that will be particularly gleeful for those of us who think the world would be improved if Rush Limbaugh were to accidentally fall into a pit full of hungry Komodo dragons.

Why to take Limbaugh’s 2003 comment on Philadelphia QB Donovan McNabb and completely take it out of context and twist it to your own agenda, Taibbi. Very “Professional Journalist” of you. And why’ll we’re hoping for untimely deaths, the world would be greatly improved if you were hit by a bus on your way to work tomorrow.

Nothing racist so far from Taibbi…until this next sentence:

I personally cannnot wait to see the all-white secondary of the Limbaugh Rams manning up against Calvin Johnson and Brandon Pettigrew…

WTF? Seriously? In case you don’t follow the NFL or the plight of the hapless Detroit Lions, Calvin Johnson and Brandon Pettigrew are black athletes. Whom, according to Taibbi, are superior athletes to any white athlete who has the misfortune to cover them on a field. Didn’t Jimmy the Greek get fired for saying pretty much the same thing?

As I said about The View’s Joy Behar, with the real unemployment rate in this country up over 17%, how the hell someone this incompetent, biased, and unprofessional still has a job is incomprehensible. Hell, it should be criminal.
